I don't know why this service is even being framed as their version of GP, when you look at what's being "reported" it just seems like a repackaged & expanded PS Now/PS+ combo, don't they already stream PS3 and PS4 games on PS Now anyway? so the top tier adds PS1,PS2 and some handheld games. This almost seems more like the media trying to create some kind of false premise so they can expand console war nonsense and keep people reading.
Why would Sony worry about "competing" with game pass? PlayStation consistently brings in a lot more money for Sony than Xbox does for Microsoft so that part of the "competition" was won a long time ago. This new service is just expanding the options people already have had on PlayStation for years, I really doubt it's going to be all that big of a deal once they announce and launch it. I already have all the BC I want built into the PS5, I personally couldn't care less about going back and playing PS1-PS3 games.

In before it's fine to buy 7 hour campaigns (if that's true) for full price again
I am very pleased to see the good reviews, disappointed in the visuals(not a deal breaker) and the length plus lack of coop for $60 is insulting.
If Multiplayer wasn't free and part of the package it be a fair price.
But Sony has games that are on the short side for $70 with no Multiplayer and I have more of a issue with them because of this.

Isn't even the XSX version or PC maxed out. Even the trees in the MP on the weakest current gen machine are far better.
But with a name like Sony Prophet is it surprising?

Thats SUPER disappointing if true. World shortest open world game. I was expecting at least 30 hours with exploration at least. This game took like 6 years in dev.
I am not big fan of super draggy & long game like AC Vallahla, but 7-12 hours is like the opposite of the spetrum. I think 20 should be the min for a full price AAA game.
Edit: After some googling, 8-12 hours is the number thorw around. guted. Thats like 2-3 seatings. seriosuly!!!

That 8 to 12 hours is the main story missions. Will take significantly longer when you add in side missions, collectables ETC.
No MP is worse.
