Who's talking about what? Fact is GPU is only a few extra bucks a month then PS plus and XLG, bloody pennies mate. By your logic every subscription service is a waste of money if you don't "own" anything. Your preference isn't the problem as PS has definitely had a stronger start games wise but that was just cringe.

Subscription services are always just rental services nobody goes into them thinking they are going to own anything on the other side, they aren't rent to own they are pay to play "for now" If you like GP/GPU good for you it doesn't bother me if you like it. It doesn't have the same value for me as it does for some of you because I've always been someone who buys a lot of games, just about anything on GP that I want to play I have already owned and played.
I have played games that were there that I wouldn't have purchased, Gears 5 and Halo Infinite are not games I would have paid for and I'm glad I didn't pay more than a price of a subscription for them, at the same time I'd have been just as happy if not happier had I not paid for the service and just not played those games. Unfortunately, I'm a terrible impulse buyer and picked up my Series X as part of that Xbox all access payment plan and GPU is lumped in with it you can't opt out of it, it's worked into the price.
