There's no logic in your hate for gp except the underlying fear of Sony being outmaneuvered and considered a failure in regards to being in the forefront of console technology for the first time.No cause something stinks at the end.

OK, so how do you know that people around him in Xbox (all obviously underneath him) did NOT say anything?... I mean Phil's plan went into effect, basically immediately. He claims some of the launch blame, as he was still the Director of Games or whatever. Still, it's like he walked in knowing EXACTLY what was wrong with Xbox, from a gamer perspective. Did he personally say something was wrong to Mattrick, like "we're on the wrong course!"? Who knows? How do we know he didn't? Furthermore, this is not unlike saying "your entire skillset as President of Xbox is misplaced", (and it would actually be pretty accurate). I have to say that if he didn't say anything to Don, he must have at least went over his head and woke someone else up, like Nadella. It's not like Phil was blindsided, with no clear path forward. That is just bulls***.

No signs of anything like this happening, surely not gonna change because of gp.There's no logic in your hate for gp except the underlying fear of Sony being outmaneuvered and considered a failure in regards to being in the forefront of console technology for the first time.

GP hasn't and won't take anything anywhere. How deep in your a** do you pull out your GP takes? As time goes on you really going to hate where GP takes the industry.
Gross. Going into next gen and we are STILL happy with 30fps. Even with these much touted super ‘SSDs’ and ‘MOAR teraflops’.
Thank God I also have a PC for my consistent 60+ framerate experience...

Yes, only Nintendo and MS cares about 60fps (Nintendo already ahead), Sony doesn't seem to care, I would think their ssd would handle the fps without much work idkConsole gamers are used to it, we've been playing mostly 30fps for a hell of a long time and that's totally fine with me, I don't want a new gen just to get games that look slightly better at 60fps I want games that look as good as they can and I'm willing to settle for a stable 30fps to make that happen. Of course it also depends on the type of game, fighting, racing and competitive online games should be 60fps but most other types of games are just fine and totally playable at 30fps. If they were able to get 60fps and give us significant visual upgrades that'd be great too but it takes a lot more power to get a little more punch graphically these days so a lot of these extra TF's will get used up a lot faster than they would have in the past.
I'm fine with 30FPS for most games. 60FPS didn't magically makre Gears more fun. I'm sitting here playing Aassetto Corsa Competizione, a full on sim, and it is 30fps and it is fine.Console gamers are used to it, we've been playing mostly 30fps for a hell of a long time and that's totally fine with me, I don't want a new gen just to get games that look slightly better at 60fps I want games that look as good as they can and I'm willing to settle for a stable 30fps to make that happen. No MS don't cause if they did no 30fps games would be coming to XSX.Yes, only Nintendo and MS cares about 60fps (Nintendo already ahead), Sony doesn't seem to care, I would think their ssd would handle the fps without much work idk
well Sony as a film, TV studio may be sold off to Apple, Amazon or other international companies... PlayStation and Sony music may stick around much much longer.

FixedYou DO KNOW, both competitors have cloud strategies, right? MS is the future and Sonys is über lol
What game is too robust for cloud streaming? You DO KNOW, both competitors have cloud strategies, right? Sure, Microsoft has servers, but PS is not only using those very servers, but it also has servers of its own. In addition to this, certain games are too robust to be ran in the cloud. So GP is not the be all end all.

I remember when polls were taken for years and years here and on other forums. They asked what the priority was, graphics or performance. Performance won hands down every time, for everyone. Suddenly, graphics are more important than performance.Anyone else notice the only GP down players in here have a common Sony theme about them. Hmmmm.
Most gamers will hate it
long term it's not going to work
and MS's first party games will suffer for having to be available day one on a service that's not pulling in enough money to cover the costs of making the games right now.
They've already said they'll be focusing on AA games
I think we all know that price is going to go up at some point.
Long term I'd say the opposite. Right now games are recouped by sales and GP. I doubt that will change in the future. Will the sub price increase at somepoint, absolutely. Most gamers will hate it, long term it's not going to work and MS's first party games will suffer for having to be available day one on a service that's not pulling in enough money to cover the costs of making the games right now. Of course they care about 60 fps. That's why they've been moving their main franchises that way. Halo 5, Gears, even Forza Horizon has a frame-rate mode.No MS don't cause if they did no 30fps games would be coming to XSX.
I think people Say performance for gamer cred. Graphics have always dominated. You think uncharted or Tlou would have been anywhere as popular? Sony sells the most first party games any they are all 30. And not always stable at that.I remember when polls were taken for years and years here and on other forums. They asked what the priority was, graphics or performance. Performance won hands down every time, for everyone. Suddenly, graphics are more important than performance.
And now Game Pass = End of Gaming as we know it.
