If they change a certain characters look and voice..........

I am going to be pissed if they pull a RE3 remake on us. They cut too many corners and rushed that game out.

It looks incredible so hopefully not.
Looks like a proper remake, using all new assets. I'm not sure I like that they change the tone and color pallet, but at least they aren't cutting corners.

After playing this game on Oculus Quest 2, I have to say that I'm not interested in playing a prettier version on a flat screen. The gameplay in VR is just something that evolves the game more than graphics, unlike RE VII on PSVR with a standard controller. Even with dated PS2 graphics, the Quest 2 ver is my definitive way to play this game.

Ideally, If we get both, that's the only way I would buy this game again. I'm disappointed that they seem to be only releasing a side mission for PSVR2. Perhaps Meta has timed exclusivity. I don't know.

As I do love that they are giving this game all new assets, I also don't like the new blue-ness that they chose to give the game. It really stood out from all of the other REs, with its autumn hues. Seems like a slap in the face to the original creators. Maybe it will seem different in the game? I don't know, maybe. Here's a comparison video.

No doubt they are using RE Village as the foundation for this remake to save time and money.

I've never played RE4. Can't wait to experience it for the first time!
Same here, I was turned off by the lack of zombies lol. I'll give it a shot when the remake comes out though, I've opened my mind a bit lol plus when it launched it was gamecube exclusive and I didn't have a gamecube and by the time it was ported to other machines I was playing other things.

Last gen upgrade confirmed then if true. Capcom still only listing a PS4 version.

It should turn out good even with the xbo being the base hardware as it(xbo) is far more powerful than the GC(that the original was designed for) version.

Originally didn't want to do the remake
- Didn't want to start from scratch but rather dial things to 11
- Replayability and Flexibility on how you play were key pillars in development
- No QTES
- You can carry multiple knives (Game can also be beat with Knives Only)
- Laser Sight is an Upgrade, Yellow Herbs are in the game
- Ground Executions can prevent Plagas from forming
- R3 is used to command Ashley (She can follow closely or fall back but will not remain in one place)
- There are no dumpsters for Ashley to hide in this time
- Ashley does not have a health bar, but if she's damaged too much she will need to be revived. She'll die if attacked again in this state
- New Weapon "Bolt Thrower" has been added (Crossbow)
- New Enemy that wields a hammer and wears a bull mask
- More new enemies are also teased by Capcom
- There are sidequests in the game (can be numerous things to do such as fetch quests, puzzles, and more)
- Attache Cases can have perks now such as increasing ammo drops
- You can barricade during the house section like in RE2make
- The game blends Horror and Action very well

Gameinformer was hella impressed and wanted to play more after their time was up.
Saying that thus far, Capcom is nailing its goal here.
