Sales Comparisons v. 2.0

MS is basically on pace to lose marketshare by 10 million units per year. If by 2020, the Xbox One is sitting at 80 million units sold and the PS4 is sitting at 100 million units sold, the consider it phenomenal sailing by MS. I don't see MS cracking 50 million units by that time though. They're a cake with crappy ingredients at this point. It's not going to turn out well.

Really huge exaggeration. The Xbox One is on track to having the current gen console percentage (MS consoles sold / all current gen consoles sold) as the Xbox 360 -- about 30% or so; Reason for that being due to how big of a drop Nintendo had.

I wouldn't call a console that makes up the same (or possibly higher) percentage of consoles sold within its gen as its successful predecessor "crappy".

The Xbox One won't be as dominant as the Xbox 360 was for its gen but it's not in a terrible spot at all.

Both Gears (a 2016 or 2017 title) and Halo (a 2015 title) are going to be dwarfed by Uncharted 4 when it releases this year. Not because the game will necessarily be better but because there will be close to 20 million more PS4's out in the wild by the time Uncharted 4/Halo 5 comes out.

This is pretty silly. All three games will have big launches and neither will be "dwarfed" by the other. Heck, Wii U games like Smash Bros. had big launches even though the userbase of that system will be very small in comparison to where the Xbox One and (especially) PS4 will be five years from now.

I'm noticing this type of broken record over and over in this thread...

LOL.

It's the one thing he can latch onto as it seems PS4 will beat X1 in sales this gen (unless a miracle happens).

All the while, X1 has better games, a better OS, can be snapped to various apps and TV no problem, and even better (since HDD gets filled up fast), just plug in an external HDD via USB and you're set to go. On the other hand, Hard Land has to turn off his PS4, unplug it from all the cords, flip it over, get out a screwdriver and swap drives to play games on HDD 2. And then do it again to play games back on HDD 1. lol

The horror. I would be pretty miserable too.

MS IS desperate but lowering the Xbox One's price to 349 while still getting outsold by the 399 PS4 obviously isn't enough. Trust me, they're desperate.

The bone is as slow as your geriatric a**. The only thing that will be snapping is your diabetic cankles.

Xbox OS is garbage compared to PS4 IMO. I've had more issues with it in the month or so I've had it vs launch PS4. Either apps/games not launching or just general slowness. Hopefully the Win10 update will fix it.

Not in my experience. Exiting out of games to apps and back on PS4 is sluggish as hell. And its smooth on X1.

It doesn't remember passwords on websites etc..

The only thing that Sony's OS kicks Microsoft's ass on is installs. Imo

Thanks for your opinion, but not everyone agrees.

Nice gimmick, too bad most gamers don't care. They don't care so much, that MS had to go back on their word and offer a Kinectless version at a lowered price.

Sluggish? lol, not in the least bit.

Both OSs are sluggish as all hell.

I didn't think PS4 had a sluggish OS, but then again, coming from PS3 which truly was sluggish, I find it fast. Not PC fast, but nothing that I find worthy of complaining.

With that said, I still do most of my console gaming on the 360. I'm thinking that I'll probably be 360 gaming for quite some time before I really start caring much about next gen gaming. "imo", there really isn't much that's grabbing me.

The Xbox One is a step back from the 360. Anything other than the PS3 would seem like it's amazing.

When I say sluggish, I mean the UI. Not the time it takes to load up an app or game. That seems a little bit faster on PS4. Even though it has that extra step of prompting you to quit the game.

Like literally the App and game icons almost slow to a crawl when exiting a game.

Strange. I don't get that. Everything loads pretty quick.

I had the PS4 crash on me twice during The Order 1886. But what was cool is that an error survey popped up asking for a brief description of the problem and whether you want to report the issue or not.

So so sad you are.

You speak as if this is a hardware limitation. All it takes is a simple update to rectify this. Smh as it stands now, getting a 2 terabyte drive is sufficient enough.

I bet you were saying the same thing before the PS3 got Netflix or perhaps when the PS3 didn't have a remote pairing feature like the 360 until DLNA was announced. All of this is software. Just because the console doesn't support it now doesn't mean it won't later on.

Same here its like they traded places this gen. After almost weekly updates you think it be perfect by now.

You need to send this PS4 in.
It sounds like a over heating issue.

since I own both consoles I prefer the pause and resume function of the Xbox operating system. meaning if I go back to the dashboard and open an app to check something I can click back on the game and it immediately takes me right back to where I left off. The game does not have to reload. same thing when I shut the Xbox down in stand by mode. as soon as I power it back up I just click on this game I was playing last and its right back at the same screen, no re loading. both operating systems are extremely snappy to me compared to last generation. And let me them both.
