I seriously hope not. 720p would be ridiculous in 2015. It was the case with Hardline,but that was cross gen and it also wasn't DICE. I'd sure hope to see Xbox One being 900p. But i'll keep my expectations low. I am ok with 720p , as long as we won't get those terrible jaggies, really sick of that.
Some companies have no problem with that. CD Projekt RED for example.
I just have this sinking feeling EA/DICE will take out a lot of the pure fun of SWBF.
I hope to God this isn't Battlefield4 Star Wars. There is no need for player progression, unlocking every gun, attachment, equipment and vehicle upgrade in the game...either by playing or paying.
These do not belong in Battlefront, but I'm sure EA is poised to milk the s*** outta SW fans and gamers with aggressive DLC, battlepacks, season passes, premium editions, shortcut packs, other micro transactions.

I know you didn't ask me but as someone who prefers 3rd person over first I'll just say that I like to look at my character and I also enjoy great animations from my character. I feel like melee combat is also always going to be better in 3rd person as well. I'd take a 3rd person action game over a fps any day.
Personally i find it ridiculous for a next gen console, i was ok with it on 360 and PS3, even when it sometimes wasn't even 720p in some games. Let's hope DICE has found a way to get decent resolutions on both console versions.

I remain skeptical of what CDPR has been saying regarding the console versions of TW3 and I am a fan of them as I am of DICE.

Yeah, true too. Imagine if these consoles were able to easily handle 1080p/60fps.

They claim we will be blown away.... I believe we will regardless of the version.(though there will be differences in each version)
That's the beauty of PC gaming, 99% of the time they show PC footage of games, so if you only do PC gaming, you have all the reasons to be excited.With these consoles..there's always a big chance you'll get the downgraded version, never at max settings anyway. If it wasn't for all my friends on Xbox Live and i guess still the ease of use on these consoles, i would have gone PC gaming to the fullest.

I am getting it on console(PS4) regardless though as I prefer online on consoles then the PC(PC is my SP only format of choice)

But that DX12 stuff, who is saying that? Wasn't it some no name dude on Twitter? Not sure atm.
I think it comes from dice and frostbite engine partners in dx12. If its not than still should look and play good.

@DICE_FireWall People have a hard time believing the game can look that good on console.

Well that's a good thing then. Honesty can be appreciated. If that Yohan guy was speaking truth, there's a chance they will show the X1 version, if MS does indeed do the marketing. If Sony does, there's a big chance it will be PS4 footage, but the chance is just as big that it's PC footage.
Haha true indeed. Personally i'd love it to be X1 footage, but even if it's PS4, i'll just assume a lower tes for X1 and that pretty much all else will be on par on X1. Partnership between EA and Sony would not surprise me, they had one for BF Hardline too.
Yup, same here. Generally better performance on the X1, better online and better controller. Looking forward to this game.
Minds will be blown if they do show console footage tomorrow and it looks similar/on par with the in-engine trailer from last E3. No way that's going to happen though, not for a second do i believe they can achieve that on the consoles. Would love to be wrong.
