System Sellers? Titanfall and Infamous

I think Both are going to be pretty big system sellers for next-gen hardware. PS4 pre-orders may be higher for the fact it is harder to find, but despite Titanfall being cross platform, I think it will propel xbox one sales far beyond what they're currently in all territories.
 
Because of the bigger user base I think Infamous SS could outsell TF(X1 version)
I could care less about it though... SP only and 30fps:really: I will check it out when my son plays it though.
 
Well I bought (pre-ordered) the Titanfall bundle because of but not really for TF.
I bought it cause its a free game, if your gonna get a XB1 in the near future why wouldn't you get the TF bundle?

You're probably right about Infamous but the PS4 really didn't have a must have launch title like the Xbox One did in my opinion. I believe Ryse and Forza Motorsport 5 were much more appealing to people than Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack and i'm enjoying Killzone at the moment but it's not doing what Ryse and Forza 5 did for me.

I think Infamous can be seen as a system seller purely on the fact that the PS4 needs a go to game right now. Plus it just looks like a damn good game. Titanfall is without a doubt a system seller. Anyone who denies that is well.. in denial. I don't care that it's not a true exclusive. It's a console exclusive. If people cared about PC they'd play it on PC but obviously when the sales data comes out we'll see that Titanfall sold much more on the Xbox One. Go figure.

aside from the ps4 bundle - you have south park stick of truth ranked higher on x360 and ps3 than infamous (which isn't even on the first page..)

if jnfamous were actually the cause for the bundle selling ... Then why isn't the game ranked accordingly ? Especially considering the established user base ?

TF (game and bundle) are currently in top 10 - ranked even higher if you take out "gift cards" from the rankings ...
 
I've never though of Infamous as being anything more than a supposed good game on Playstation consoles. Would be shocked if it were actually a "system seller". TF may be a "system seller" because there are a lot of CoD fans willing to jump on the next big thing. A lot of these kids will not think twice about the PC version of the game. Some will get it on the 360 yeah, but some will also get it for the X1.
 
I just have a hard time thinking that anyone believes Infamous is the reason the bundle will sell, so just to over emphasize my point because I just found out I now have the day off and am already bored...

-PS4 + Week old Mayo sandwhich for $450... it's going to sell. Mayo sandwhiches are the hot item this year. #mayoswag

-PS4 + A ziplock sealed Ken Kutaragi fart; without a controller for $699... it's going to sell. Bask in the glory of Crazy Ken!!

-A red PS4 possessed by the spirit of an ancient demon that requires a virgin blood sacrifice every equinox in order to function for $475. Who would't buy this?

Yeah, I just realized the TF bundle is $500, the same price, essentially TF is a free game. Who would buy the non-TF version if they could get a free game? That's going to make it hard to say big bundle sales mean TF is a system seller. They might've wanted to get the system anyway.

Is the infamous bundle Ps4 is just a regular black PS4?
The titanfall bundle is cheaper and and exclusive controller and console color/skin?
Do people find this just as important as price difference?
 
I don't think Infamous is really a system seller, but I'd say it would help sell systems though if that makes sense. Just another great exclusive to play.

Yeah I think I get what you're saying. Infamous is not going to make someone say "ok I need a PS4 let's go buy one!", but if someone is already considering a PS4, Infamous might be enough to push them over the edge.

Infamous could push systems perhaps... if (if)....

Sony markets it well and right, both doubtful
 
Ok, so bundle sales alone won't tell us much. I think the only way we'll know whether one is a system seller is to get a Jan and Feb baseline from NPD, and then look at March and April.
 
I think they will both move systems to a point, but for different reasons. The PS4 really needs a great exclusive, and it looks like they finally have, but like a few have said, I think those people buying the bundle were buying a PS4 anyways.
TF is the only game I've seen so far that could potentially push a person on the fence about which system to choose, but I don't know how significant of an impact that will be. I think as more people play it at friend's houses, etc, more people will want it, so I expect the sales push from it to last longer, even though it might not be a huge number.

Anyone want to take stab at potential review scores for each?
Infamous looks great, the only problem I've seen so far from the gameplay vids is the pacing. But I've never played it so I could be wrong.
I love TF but I'm betting it will lose some points for no significant campaign, and *possibly* repetitive gameplay (I don't feel this way but if I've heard any criticisms, it's usually that).

I'm going to guess metacritic scores will be:

Infamous 84

TF 89

The same could be said for the TF bundle too. Is ISS free, like TF in the TF XB1 bundle?
 
I will put Infamous in the high 70s to low 80s.

TF maybe high 80s to low 90s. Get knock off a few tens of point on visuals.

Infamous is just the physical game with black PS4.

Isn't the Titanfall bundle a regular Xbox One console with regular controller and the game is digital? If they added in a physical disk with the special controller, it would be nice.

Infamous is not official. Its gamestop's plan to sell you the console with an extra game & controller, as demand for PS4 is high (there is no discount in the bundle). If they can, they probably price PS4 over MRSP (of course they can't)

If I have a game shop, I probably bundle PS4 with 2 games of the person choice & an extra controller, but with a 15 bucks discount or a 15buck voucher (just not to feel bad). :)

Titanfall bundle, I am not sure. Is this an official bundle in US now? I am very confuse as I only known of the one in U.K.

TF should rate high, COD has always usually rated fairly well... hype gets to the reviewers or something... they aren't very good at rating games... or they are just casual gamers ... heh.

I am going to guess Infamous gets a few 7's, 8's and some high marks as well.

Going to say that TF possibly gets a lot of 9's, a few 6's even and a lot of high marks going closer to 9.5

Titanfall will get a Metacritic average of Mid to high 80's. Infamous will get Low 80's possibly very high 70's or mid 80's. Yes, vague on infamous.

? I thought the Titanfall console was this with Titanfall controller?

Not sure if this has been brought up but the Infamous bundle is online only so that would make sense why the sales would be so high on GameStops website.

Titanfall is number 9, but is also available in stores.

Also on Amazon The Titanfall bundle is 6 and the Titanfall game is number 1.

The Infamous game is 8 and if there is a bundle I can't find it.
