BUSTERMAN add UnionVGF as a clan on in your Division Clan menu. We need you.I just made it to World Tier 1 a few days ago and decided to do some testing. I think there needs to be something done about damage scaling for enemies and/or armor & health pools for players. I stacked a ton of health and armor and took a heavy reduction to my damage to see how things went. To put it simply I was dropped just as fast as when I’m spec’d for more damage. But when I spec for damage I can take down enemies much faster so my survivability is increased because of my weapons and abilities that enhance them.
Is there no way to tank in this game? I love the build diversity that is currently in the game but it needs to be expanded on. I’m going to see how a skill build does but increasing my skill power has been something of a challenge for me as I rarely seem to get gear that will increase it.
Oohh yeah, any clan on Xbox please send me an invite. I’ve been having fun soloing but the tougher missions require a little bit of coordination and most random players don’t seem to use a mic.
Yep.Oh. Is that a mini gun specialization? I think it is cos I’m all stiff like I do when I see a mini gun.
Frozpot joined earlier too so if Busterman joins that would give us five.BUSTERMAN add UnionVGF as a clan on in your Division Clan menu. We need you.
I joined the Clan last night!Someone started up the UnionVGF clan and we're stuck last I checked at 3 members, while you need 4 to progress, so search for that and jump in.
I pretty much exclusively solo - no mic, my connection to servers seems to be perpetually poor and I generally don't multiplayer anyhow. Definitely agree that tankiness is nigh unto impossible to pull off (maybe with a shield, I dunno). I am always back in cover whenever possible with patience mostly activated and some of the other armor talents as well, but if I'm in an area that makes retreating and chokepointing both impossible (e.g., the f***ing boat area on the Outcasts' stronghold), I still have difficulty if I start getting outnumbered faster than I can take out enemies.
I do know skill power is going to be re-balanced with tomorrow's update (the same one that opens Tidal Basin). The mods are going to require less power overall, and the amounts given are apparently going to change too, so that should be a little easier. I honestly have not equipped a single skill mod yet, though, because the only skills I'm really ever using are the revive hive and healing chem launcher, and other than extra ammo for the latter, there's no real point in bothering - and I never really have an issue with running out of charges for the launcher, more of getting melted before I can drop one and then as I'm dropping it I'm dead and the hive doesn't trigger if you're triggering that animation when you drop.

Ok I took care of the hyenas stronghold with no issues but the last part of Roosevelt Island is kicking my ass. I can't stand the heavies with the sledgehammer.
Yeah those guys are a serious pain in the ass. It’s hilarious trying to avoid them.
Those of us that just got the regular game do we get all this extra stuff a week later?
Don't think there is anything extra in this for the pass holders, unless gear sets count.
No. The season pass stuff begins withe first DLC in the summer. Those of us that just got the regular game do we get all this extra stuff a week later?
Easy as f***, though. Just blitzed through it without any issues. The other sStrongholds are harder than Tidal Basin.Tidal Basin is a great Stronghold. WT5 here i come....

The others were normal with equal amounts of overgearing.yeah it was easy but that was normal mode and we're over geared for it. I can see it being a very hard Stronghold too be honest, especially with all those timers in the last piece.

I’m having a lot of fun in Tier 1. I got some pretty good upgrades and I think I’m at the point where I don’t have to equip an item just because it has a higher gear score. My map is mostly red so I tackled a control point. But I came across an article this morning that said I should complete some of the other activities before the control points so they can level up in difficulty for better rewards. I must have missed it when the game made that explanation.
I joined the Xbox Clan last night, hope to see some of you guys online. My gear score is only something like 315 so I’m not ready for the harder content yet. The enemies in this game are flanking ninjas. But my gun-fu is getting stronger.
Control points and other activities are fun, but honestly try to get to World Tier 5 as soon as possible. The invaded missions and strongholds are definitely doable at well below the recommended gear score, and you should get nearly enough equipment from the invaded missions to unlock the GS requirement for the stronghold each time you move up. (In fact, I would often save my equipment as a loadout/layout/whatever it's called, then equip the highest GS I had in each slot as a second loadout, and move into the stronghold as soon as that second loadout would unlock it, and then once inside switch back). Having 450s dropping (and cache items over that) has been fun and getting to the 500s should be even more fun!
[edit: If you do find that you're below the GS minimum to unlock the stronghold after the missions, you can look to buy gear from the vendor or see if you can craft it, or fast travel to control points that are green to loot their loot rooms for the weapon/gear pieces]
Just curious but outside the raid what's the reason to rush to Tier 5 and max level? Are there weapons and/or gear only accessible at that Tier?
Any gear that you get at, for example, World Tier 3 will have a max gear score of right around 400. Eventually you'll get to world tier 5, which will have that cap at 500. Basically, that means that anything before you get to GS 500 is temporary and replaceable - you might keep it for the talents for recalibration, but for the most part the sooner you're up to the max GS the more benefit you'll get from gear drops.
