The house bill is $3 trillion I believe and has a lot of stuff in it that doesn't go directly to the people, if they have a shot at getting direct relief to people they need to take it and worry about the other stuff after. It's not going to look good when Republicans have a way of saying "we tried to get you $1200 but Pelosi wanted money for other things etc.
I think 80% of any stimulus should go towards unemployment benefits. I don't need a $1200 stimulus check. Not saying that I agree with $600 extra per week. It should stretch out the length of benefits as well as extra $300 -$400 per week.

I am worried about this election. I know most of the polls show Biden with a lead but you just don't see any enthusiasm behind him like Trump has with his base. I think the polls could be way off again.

I will be worried until its over but all evidence points to Biden being in a much better position. 2016 just wasn't stable. Trump even led at certain points. There was also a crazy high number of undecided and they broke big for Trump. At the end of the day Biden isn't Hillary.

Either the polls need to be off by way more than in 2016 or something crazy has to shake the race. No evidence that people aren't motivated to vote for Biden as return rates for ballots by Democrats are higher and we are probably on the way to record turnout.

Biggest concern is votes just counting. Ballots arriving and not being rejected for whatever BS reason. You can't underestimate GOP f***ery.

The biggest enemy is voter apathy. I don't care how well Biden polls, will those people all make an effort to vote in the middle of a pandemic? Are they going to put on a mask and gloves and go in person, or is everyone going to flood the mail?

My plan is to vote in person the minute the polls open. I normally would vote on the way in to work anyway, and it is usually quiet then.

Hillary made the tactical error avoiding certain states. The problem now is the pandemic is preventing them from doing a lot of that campaigning. It isn't about convincing people Trump is bad, it is about convincing people that it is important that they go out and vote for Biden because it will make their lives better.

I will be taking advantage of early voting in my state. I am going next week during work hours to hopefully avoid large crowds.

Trump will win again.
I'm sorry.

Trump will win either now or after Biden in 2024. Or if not him an equivalent GoP demagogue in 2024. Possibly another idiot riding momentum from a TV show or even a network news personality.

I think Trump will either be dead or in really bad shape by 2024. Tucker Carlson is very likely getting ready to run for 2024 and what's worse is that he is like Trump but with some intelligence, so much more dangerous.

Both sides handled this the wrong way from the start, there should have been some type of wage guarantee instead of a blanket amount of additional unemployment, people shouldn't have been making more money not working (I know many didn't but some did) there should have been a moratorium on evictions but also property owners should have had their property payments delayed until this all settled down, you can't take their rent away and expect them to keep making payments on the property. There also should have been some type of stimulus that went to every person unemployed or not for a period of time just to help keep retail business from closing down as well as to help seniors pay for grocery delivery etc.

f***ing republicans need be arrest here in California. Anybody involved, including those holding office or running for office need to also be arrested.
The post, from Jordan Tygh, a regional field director for the California Republican Party, encouraged people to message him for “convenient locations” to drop their own ballots.

The problem is the drop box in the photo is not official – and it could be against the law.

The California Secretary of State has received reports in recent days about possible unauthorized ballot drop boxes in Fresno, Los Angeles and Orange counties, agency spokesman Sam Mahood said Sunday evening. Reports place such boxes at local political party offices, candidate headquarters and churches.

Whitehouse, Senator from Rhode Island, is bringing fire to the SCOTUS hearings today. Also, Durbin is great. Patrick Leahy, while means well, is just waaayyy too old to give speeches at any of these hearings, hearings of any kind.

I tried watching the confirmation bulls***, but I got too angry just hearing republican garbage talk.

People always ask me how I can read everything, watch so much of everything political, I watch Faux News often, I wont watch OANN, I should though. They ask how I can put myself through it. It simple, I want to be as informed as possible about everything going on. I want to go into discussions armed to the gills with facts. Even though many that want to have a "discussion" with me don't care about facts, or have their own "facts," I still have to do it for myself. I benefit in the end.

Family posted about how Fauci wants "Thanksgiving cancelled!" Of course they're using Facebook posts to show that. So, I had to tell post EXACTLY what Fauci said...

"Of course, everyone has a different family situation, so 'you’ve got to take it as an individual case,' and consider where you’re going as well as who you’re spending time with,' Fauci said."

"Some people in this country are going to be able to have a relatively normal type of a Thanksgiving, but in other areas, you better hold off," Fauci said.

"I’m not going to criticize people who do it differently, but look at the individual situation in your own family and make a decision that way," Fauci said.

"For those traveling, it’s important to understand your individual risk. The CDC says the lowest-risk travel scenario is driving with no stops to a destination, with only members of your household, staying in a house or cabin and bringing your own food and drinks. For people traveling to see people for the holidays he said... “Maybe you want to come in and quarantine yourself for a number of days or get tested a couple of times before you go in,” Fauci said. Since Thanksgiving holidays often only span three or four days, “that’s going to be kind of an inconvenience,” he said.

But, 'Er mer gerd! Ferchi erz cancerllerin' Therksgerving!'

I envy you man. I totally have lost all rationality when it comes to the right. time after time getting f***ed by them just has left at a point where I want to see it all burn down.

That is not excuse democrats still trying to remain with the decorum bulls*** and trying to play by the rules and the "gentlemen" agreements that are suppose to uphold the constitution while republicans just bring s*** up when it's useful to then proceed to s*** over the same s*** they brought up. Case in point, this confirmation hearing.

I am just tired of being ruled by a minority. I am tired of a minority of voters having more power than my vote. I've said before, if blue state decided to bring up no taxation without equal representation, I am all for it. f*** blue states having to be the support for red states that are poorly governed. Rather see my federal taxes I pay go to my local government than go to s*** holes like kentucky. Let them pull themselves up by the boot straps instead.
