I don't know how you do it. I'm fine with someone who has a different way of thinking about things if they're honest about it and its great if they can discuss things intelligently. But I just can't take all these gritters anymore though, I'm so tired of them. They're making such a mess of everything just for a buck and while most might be on the right because that is where the easy money is right now, there are some on the left that piss me off as well.
It's because it makes me aware of these people. So when someone tries to "Both sides me," I can provide examples to the contrary using specific people and information. I crave knowledge. I always have. Even knowledge that isn't so positive when learned. I love that about me. Though it is a curse when I get too curious about personal relationships sometimes.
Cancel culture is just bad for everyone. We shouldn't ignore the Trumpers, but instead shine a light on their hypocrisy. It is challenging sometimes, especially when they just instantly play the "but Hillary" card in 2020. As much as these people irritate me, we need some of the sane ones to fix the GOP. The GOP needs to go through a purge and rebirth. As an American, we need a real conservative party, so that I can go back to actually making a real decision when I vote (up until 2016 I genuinely gave both sides some thought). It helps to see where they started going wrong to understand how they got so wrong now. They got taken by a con man and now they either need to admit they were duped, or keep believing the con.
The Democratic Party should be the conservative party. Literally the majority of the democratic party are centrists at best, with a few skewing center left and center right. The modern Democratic Party is what the Republican Party was in the 80's lol.
Kill the GOP, make the Democratic Party the conservative party and make democratic socialists the liberal party. Republicans keep trying to litigate s*** that the majority of the country does not give a s*** about anymore(abortion, equal marriage rights, etc). This is why nothing can get done. They continue trying to go backwards instead of just moving forward.
Personally, you can track the GOP going down the wrong way starting with Reagan. Everything started there and the GOP has only moved farther and farther right as the decades have passed to the point that most countries would not call the GOP a conservative party but something much farther right bordering fascism.
We need that but it isn't what we will get. We will get the same party but with better politicians. Ones that know when to keep their mouth shut.
It will be easy because Trump has set the bar so low so people will have no standards. Its why people are willing to look back on the W days more fondly.
Dropped my ballot in the local courthouse drop box today (YAY), the same as I have the last several years, out here in CO. If you live out of town, ya just mail it in. Again, the same as the last several years out here. Glad that mail-in ballots got approved in CO years before it was a controversial idea! There's just as many rural dipsh!ts here, out in the mountains. They are just well outnumbered here by good, sane people, though.
Now Nancy Pelosi's daughter is calling Andrew Yang sexist for calling her mother by her first name as if he doesn't do that with everyone, VP Biden is "Joe" Senator Sanders is "Bernie" Senator Booker is "Cory" etc but she has to make this about sexism because her Mom is wrong. This is the kind of crap that makes me want to start looking for other options, I'm sick of the identity BS being played where it doesn't belong, it makes people take real sexism, racism and homophobia far less seriously when it happens because these words are thrown around so loosely.
Yeah that is dumb but really who cares? We have too many real problems right now to worry about stupid stuff like that and "look for other options".
Get off social media. You will be a much happier person.
The issue is this is already all over social media, why would her daughter be dumb enough to start this? Pelosi is overrated as hell to begin with but millions of people are suffering, she's put up showy bills for months knowing Republicans wouldn't even consider them, now Trump and his clowns come up with one that will help people and she's being the roadblock instead of accepting it and putting it on senate Republicans. Other options is what I'll be going with after Trump is out of office, can't risk that now even though I'm in CA and Biden will win this state hands down but I'm sick of the leadership of this party constantly selling the people out while their donors get everything.

We are rapidly approaching the end point where a deal must be made and really she should feel like 1.8 is a pretty good win for her considering much of the other side wants to do nothing. But you don't know what kind of BS they are trying to snake through so her negotiating is fine. We just shouldn't be in the spot as this negotiating should have happened much earlier. Its definitely time to wrap it up and make whatever deal can be made. If they win big in November they can do whatever they want so the deal doesn't have to be perfect.
Keep in mind whatever is happening isn't the result of whatever Trump and clowns came up with its the result of Mnuchin and Pelosi compromising and negotiating. Which is how its supposed to work.
Oh I get that but it's too close to the election to make it look like the dems are the problem, we have a habit of snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory and I don't want anything close to that happening again.
Trump dipped in the polls dramatically the last time talks fell apart. He made the mistake of tweeting out that he had called off talks the last time and he claimed that he would wait until after the election to give out another stimulus check. Obviously, people understand that Trump won't be giving out another Stimulus check if he wins. Him and other Republicans have been very vocal about not wanting to "give people money" and him being down in the polls by 16% reflects that.
And linsay graham is flat out lying during the hearing about Obamacare. Literally lying that he was on Obamamcare. He gets government funded healthcare. Literally lying why California, New York, and Massachusetts get more funding from Obamacare than other states, they actually participated in Medicaid expansion when other states, such as South Carolina... refused to participate in Medicaid expansion.

One of my neighbors has a standard Biden/Harris 2020 sign, but now they added a "You're in a cult!" sign next to it.

And these stooges will be in the count for the rest of our lives.
We can vote Trump gone but this horrible court will live on for a generation. Democrats have to win the senate and pack the court. They need to win big enough that it doesn't land in the courts. We need Biden to win so big that there's nothing the court can do. It is so important for people to try to vote in person.
