Walmart is repulsive to me. They are always dirty, unorganized, and the clientele is disgusting a lot of the time. I have actually seen fights break out there. I no longer go there. I told my wife I don't want her going there either, but she still goes.

I am all for saving money, but not to that level. I can find similar things at Amazon online for the same prices or less, shipped. I can also walk into a Target (at least in my area), and it is much better.

I don't disagree about how trashy it is and can be, but I'm only really talking about the grocery aspect of a Wal-Mart. I don't shop there for anything because it's cheaply made and I actually have to leave my house to go get something lol. Call me reliant on Amazon or whatever, but at least they'll just send me cheap s*** directly (I'm well aware Wal-Mart does too, but I never think about using their website lolz).

Groceries wise I try to shop at Aldi for as much as I can, and then Kroger or Publix for the more niche items. I'd do Wegman's, but it has the same problem as Wal-Mart here, only out in the burbs and I'm a city boy.

My wife is LOVES Publix. Anytime we travel south from Wisconsin we always stop in a Publix. At home for groceries, we shop at Metro Market, which is Kroger owned.

I go to Walmart because it's the closest. Probably a mile or so from me.

French fries x air fryer = chef's kiss

I'm not a fan of dollar stores. They're basically a stop-gap for poorer communities and "food deserts".

DG Marketplace = 15 mile round trip
Walmart (or any other decent store) = 80 mile round trip

Around this area, there really isn't any choice when it comes to shopping. None of the stores except for Amazon will even deliver to many of the areas around here.

Been working on my MBA last couple years with the goal of transitioning into a data analytics career. After years of grinding s*** jobs I couldn’t stand because the company was financing my Masters, and late nights of schoolwork after long awful days at work, I got a job offer for my first data analyst position.

Feels surreal, honestly. Stoked.

Yooo congrats! That's what I'm doing currently, except it's a Master's of Decision Analytics. If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to find a job with this degree? Do you know about how many applications you put in? Do you feel like the field is over saturated or still open enough?

I don't even finish my MBA till April. I decided to start applying in December and got a job in February. It was fast. I put out lots of applications, dozens and dozens for sure, but I also had many interviews and constantly had opportunities. This is just the first company to offer and it was good enough to accept.

No shortage of opportunities, at all. Just learn the technical skills and put them on your resume, know what you're talking about, and you'll get something relatively quick I imagine.

Great advice thanks man! Really hoping to push six figures when I graduate, but I can't apply to anything until at least after I finish my degree as my company pays for it and I'd owe them a nice chunk of change if I left in the middle of a semester.

I’m not quite there just starting out but I’m up there with my bonus. And you can definitely get to six figures within 5 years time, if not. It’s a phenomenal field to get into.

Best of luck. Let me know if there is anything I can ever do to help.
