And in person its even greater of a difference in some parts generational.

Even with the PS4 version having the same 1080p resolution still a huge difference between it and the PC and the same goes with the Xbox One's 900p looking significantly worse then both.

Wait. So zoomed in static photos are being used to determine which version looks better? LMAO!! You guys are too much.... And why is the PC version included? Thats strange. Of course PC is going to look better.

Are there any more examples with the games in motion, without zoom ins or static shots?

It has already started.
I've modded my version as well with a more natural color palette via SweetFX and some ini tweaks.

If Skyrim is anything to go by I'm expecting some armor or nudie mods to drop fairly soon. :hehe:

I wonder if it would be much work, knowing CDPRs history of nude models in games. :p

Some of those Skyrim mods... Wow. Controlled Viagra and tassles. :p

Well there is this video. DF did a comparison of a computer equipped with an i3-4130 and a gtx 750 ti. VERY meager hardware yet able to run and look better than the PS4 version.
Sony and Microsoft really should have invested in better GPU's for the long haul. That said the consoles do well with what they have and it is all about the gameplay anyway.

...and All 3 versions in motion...

I'm a little surprised you don't like the stock saturation levels. Even the CGI trailer "A Night to Remember" had to hit that color level. I think it's very distinct with CDPR. The color scheme matches the old Witcher games.

The ps4 version has quite a few frame rate issues. Especially in the swamp. I hope they fix it. Given the lacking in draw distance, i wouldn't mind if they bumped the resolution down to 900p. When you have a console with non-upgradeable hardware, that frame rate stability becomes very important.

It isn't that I don't like it. It just doesn't seem to fit the tone of the game for me personally.

Don't worry guys.. I'm having frame drops too.. but I don't care.. I absolutely must have 4k.. and I must have Hairworks enabled.. you can imagine my drops during conversations etc.. :(

You should really post some 4k shots maxed. I'd love to see how that would look.

I did. What happened to those shots LT?
I only saw the 1080p ones. They were at 1890x1063 to be precise. I tried opening them in a separate link too. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or not or if the image hosting is.

How else should they compare detail and AA?

Motion doesn't help X1 at all in this case.

Yeah, I have a tendency to discover all the ? before moving on to the main quest. So far, they've just been bandit camps.

BTW, can bandit camps have prisoners? I was at one and in combat. I saw a deserter stand up with a talk option and then an arrow from another deserter killed him. Not sure if he was a good deserter or the enemies don't have friendly fire.

They aren't zoomed in. Just cropped. But I understand your concern. You don't like static PNG images, but desperately want "in motion" massively compressed 720p YouTube video comparison. And I can see why.

I really don't like those striped Witcher shirts. Does anyone else refuse to wear them, although they might have better stats?

The only thing I can see doing it is Tomb Raider. MS is throwing a lot of money and support at that game to make it a system seller, so I'm really interested in how it turns out.

If the last game is anything to go on it will be a great game, we'll have to see if it matches the Witcher 3 though.

Lol @ the sailors. ⚓

Haha Yeah I waited for them to all be facing the same way, just made me mad that I had to take a step forward to get the guys name to disappear from the shot. I haven't found a way to do that but I wish we could, we don't need something on screen telling us what's a cat, dog, goose, horse or person lol, they should give us an option to turn those off unless the person is part of the story.

The game is indeed incredible looking at 4k. I added the sharpen filter to MAX to hide all the low res textures and it does an excellent job without aliasing.

Actually, "in motion" massively compressed 720p Youtube comparisons tell the whole story--moreso than "Cropped" specifically selected PNG images used to sway opinions one way or the other. Why the hell cut out one section of an entire frame to draw comparisons from? FFS, the same kind of comparisons works both ways if someone wants to intentionally select and "crop" a better looking static PNG image from Xbox One, versus other platforms.

But I guess if one is into petty comparisons.....the smaller the better, right?....Right?! I'll leave you guys to it.

why are you in a thread talking about the looks of the game when it looks the worse on One and you simply can't stand that for some reason. Big deal One looks the worse and will always look the worse when it comes to this game so leave the thread as it seems you simply can't deal with it. You keep saying well look at it move next thing you know you'll be saying well the game looks the same to a blind man or tell me what if someone has one glass eye does it matter to him what the game looks like.

Well if you are under the impression that cropping an image improves the image quality, you are right. It absolutely does. We'd be better off having degraded video comparisons on our marvelous CRT TVs. We need that full story, bro.
