Secrets and Treasure trademarked by Microsoft

Microsoft has trademarked the title, Secrets and Treasure. The trademark page only mentions “game software,” so we at least know it’s a game.

Gamespot adds that Microsoft registered the URL “secretsandtreasure.com” last February, though the URL currently only directs to a Bing search. This could be the Japanese title Microsoft was teasing this morning. At any rate, we will find out at this year’s E3 or before. Thanks, Gamespot.

Pirate game

Statements like these dont have the effects they used to have before GDC.
effects?
In the future, multiplatform res and frames should be the same or so similar. But XBOX ONE will have all it's other features on XBOX LIVE (cloud functions, faster connection/lower latency), snap apps, etc.
you mean like Titanfall using the cloud to offer... what was it? 795p or something?

you may well be right when you say "In the future, multiplatform res and frames should be the same or so similar."
but right now, Xbox just cant handle res/HD at the same level of PS4 and until it can. my multi-plats will all be on PS4.

Xbox One's price disadvantage disappears with new bundle

"Making the argument that the Xbox One is actually cheaper than the PlayStation 4 requires a bit of finesse, however. Titanfall is an Xbox exclusive. Best Buy prices the 500GB PlayStation 4 at $400, a PS4/PS Plus bundle at $450, and a game bundled with a PlayStation-exclusive game, Infamous: Second Son, at $460. So, when one compares a PS4 bundle with an Xbox One bundle, the Xbox One bundle is indeed $10 cheaper."

Sounds like a mobile title to me

And then there is FORZA 5 at 1080P/60FPS with more advanced graphics techniques being used. Focusing development for the XBOX ONE from the start probably made the difference. Titanfall was not originally developed for the XBOX ONE:

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/14/respawn-titanfall-originally-not-expected-for-xbox-one

"Originally we weren't planning on an Xbox One version of the game," Baker said. "I'm certain that having an Xbox One version has made our PC version much better - it justified the effort in moving to DX11 and even 64-bit."

Respawn did say they were working on improving the resolution In a patch.

It's definitely one of my favorites. Black Tusk just sounds badass. Gears of War 4 by Black Tusk. Tell me that doesn't sound awesome.
Not only that but Black Tusk is talented, they mostly came from EA black box and even wrote an add on for Unreal Engine 4 that Epic is now officially using for real-time global illumination.

BTW, TD I always wanted to know, did you name yourself after the bank or is there some other meaning to your name?

Being from Black Box isn't a good thing IMO. All they really made were racing games- this is why I thought they might do PGR- and sports titles. There best games are in the Skate series, IMO. Although, Hot Pursuit 2 deserves a mention.

I think Lionhead did that UE4 thing you're talking about, not Black Tusk.

You're right, it was originally listed as Black tusk, but they corrected it.

Skate and Skate 2 were the best skateboarding game ever IMHO. So that is worth something.

But they do also have people from united front games (sleeping dogs), next level games (punchout wii).

The head of Black Tusk studio was the lead on Crysis 2. I am 99 percent sure I read that when the studio opened. They have some talent from Irrational, Naughty Dog, and I believe one other Sony Studio (Santa Monica I think).

Black Tusk has some people from Naughty Dog, Irrational, 2 from Sony Studios and another from Bungie. They aren't exactly lacking talent.

Plus theyre a small team. They didn't use anything close to what the x1 hardware has to offer. hell even the PC version which is leagues stronger doesn't even look next gen to be honest. Once the sequel gets underway theryre gonna have to expand their team numbers or spend allot more time in game development to give their IP the next gen boost people are looking for. If their next game does look truly next gen though it'll look great on both consoles, resolution subtle differences aside.

OOOOh didn't know they were involved with C2. I love that f***ing game, had so much fun with the single player. Microsoft need to let these guys go wild and make the games they want to make.

Mouth watering just thinking of the possibilities.

Marc Whitten Promises Xbox One is "Just Beginning"

Xbox corporate vice president Marc Whitten may be leaving Microsoft after 14 years, but he's promising the best is yet to come for Xbox One.

Speaking during the latest episode of Major Nelson Radio, Whitten explained that the company is just now beginning to build towards its true vision for the console, with a host of feature-rich updates still in the pipeline.
"Part of what's awesome to me right now is I think you're starting to see what Xbox One can become," he explained. "So much for us was around, 'Hey, let's build this architecture that we could rev quickly, that we could add to, that was flexible, that would allow us to do more things and do more things quickly.'

"It's a great time to be on Xbox... and it's just beginning," Whitten concluded by saying. "There's so many things. I can't wait to see where it goes from here."

The first such update looks set to be the one coming in April, which promises a wealth of beneficial features, including improved friend notifications and fixes to the DVR.

ugh, i thought that sale was now.. there goes an impulse buy. now I have a week to decide to not buy thief
Sale on Thief is this Friday through Sunday. I know its meant to be an average game, but 50% off on a game thats not even out a month is a good deal to me.

Yeah I've got it on PC, but I haven't started playing it yet. I wouldn't mind the achievements on X1, but then again I want better graphics, and I want to save money. Bah.

After watching Black Sails I am up for more pirates.

It would be nice as you do not get many Pirate themed games. You certainly don't get many quality ones. AC4 is the best one since..... well, been so long I can not recall a time.
