My wife saw a video of last night Ryse and it didn't move her at all.:( But Project Spark and Forza 5 did, go figure. Now that she has something to play on it, my day one purchase is justified in our household.

Damnit all. I have yet to find one game my wife would play on the X1. Then again, I haven't introduced her to Project Spark. Maybe that one...

AC does look good but I have sort of fallen out with the series since AC2. Maybe this one will bring me back.

Dope video is dope, definitely buying this. It seems it they fixed all the glaring problems with AC3 and expanded AC3's awesome~ naval battles.

*nods slowly*

:p yeah but AC4 has pirates, and more naval battles..AC3 was good..they should have done a 3.1 and 3.2 instead of just scrapping connor and going to his ancestor.

This is another one of those series that I think would have benefited from more time between iterations. The thing that kept me hooked was the stuff like the truth puzzles and glyphs and tying back into the modern day story, more than the actual gameplay. It seems more and more like that's being disconnected and the series is shifting more to a feeling of "You're an assassin in #insertTimePeriodHere", almost like roster updates for the sports games. I think I'll probably end up getting this one eventually and hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm not sure I can see paying for it at launch.

Yeah, I agree...yearly AC games have started to water down the differences between the two..it's not epic like it was going from AC to AC2. I was thinking of skipping AC4, but there isn't many games at launch that really grab me that aren't F2P. Watch_Dogs alone won't last me until Titanfall lol

I'm thinking I'm just going to see how long I can ride Forza and then see what the reactions are for other games like Watch Dogs and AC4 and probably pick from there. Though ever since my oldest has been old enough to start getting into games, the vast majority of my gaming spending has been around Christmas time, so I imagine that my talk of holding off on those games will last until we hit mid-December and I'm like, "Hell, I suppose I need to play something other than Forza sometime" .

I want to get into AC4 but I was looking forward to AC3 and it ended up being the worst game of the series, still hopeful though.

AC2 was my personal favorite. I wasn't keen on Brotherhood and didn't bother with the rest after that.

I enjoyed AC, AC2 and AC3. Didn't mess with the other 3 games. AC4 looks like it could be the best in the series.

I'm burned out on AC. I got AC2 for free, then played through Brotherhood and Revelations. I don't even have the desire to pick up AC3, instead I just watched the ending on Youtube

Haven't played an Assassin's Creed since the first one.
I don't say this as a criticism; more of a personal failing. For me, the AC franchise are the most beautiful, exquisitely crafted, and utterly boring games I have ever played. They're like RPGs that have had every bit of magic stripped from them.
