Which 4K HDR TV are you planning to buy for Scorpio or One s?

I want TV companies to make an OLED that is not the size of a fricking billboard. I don't have room in my tiny flat for a 55 inch Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I'm so used to plasma that I struggle with most LCD TVs, although some have tempted with the black frame insertion stuff that sorts out the motion issues.

I miss plasmas, damn you dead end technology.

Much can change by the time I want to upgrade my TV to meet my needs. I don't see any need to get a 4K until Scorpio arrives in late 2017. I will bookmark this thread with an 18 month timer from today because I seriously doubt any of the TV's being discussed now will be the go-to choice when I am finally ready to make a purchase.

Pretty sure OLEDs will be even more amazing than they are now, and of course cheaper.

I am looking at getting the TV sorted this year. That gives me a clear year for Scorpio, all inclusive 2 weeks in Mexico and sadly an engagement ring for my long suffering girlfriend. She did get past the 1st test (14 years together) and she is responsible for getting me back into gaming after a long old break. So 2017 is stuffed full of expense for me!

If I get Scorpio, I might as well get a 4k TV. If so, I'll look at whatever Panasonic has. Second choice is Samsung. I've never seriously considered it, but if I get a new TV, I'll look into Vizio. Supposed to be good quality TVs at awesome prices. Never bought a Vizio brand though, so skeptical.

I have the P70 4K ext downstairs and it's nothing but solid with HD content outside of Direct TV who still broadcast in upscaled 1080i.

Is Hisense in the UK? Cause id take even them over Samsung and they have some Full Array Led sets.
FYI they make Sharp TV's

I am blown away by the PQ in comparison to many brands like Samsung for the prices they are selling these sets and they come with free 4 year warranties :)

Dude you come where I work at and I'll show you good TV that are Geek Squad Certified and its like starting at $299 for a 4k tv with HDR......no joke!

Thanks. I did a quick Canada check and it seems this new series of TVs doesn't have a 70" Canadian version, but there's a 65" that fits.... about $2,000 CDN. By the time Scorpio comes out, it'll probably be $1,500 or less.

I don't have Direct TV so no difference to me.

The drawback is that right now, I don't think there is any Canadian 4k cable tv content except for one mishmash channel Rogers 999. I think there's literally just one channel that shows random 4k stuff.

Here is a question for PC gamers: What are some good 4K monitors that don't break the bank? Lets say 24" to 26" in size.

I do the majority of my gaming on PC monitor, so looking at monster TVs is a little pointless for me.

I will definitely get a 4k tv when I get Scropio. But not before. I'll wait until the last minute so I can get them a lot cheaper than it would be if I bought it now.

Probably get one after xmas. Been holding out on a new TV for a long time so looks like its good time to get one now.

I'm thinking maybe black Friday 2017 is when I'll bite. It's ok if Scorpio is out before that.
