The jist is that the person who said it works in the gaming industry in some fashion, the claim isn't endorsed by mods but it is being going to be held to the claim (ban if bs); he said he has multiple sources but no actual video/picture evidence and the game is supposedly very early in development.
Thank you!

I personally never understood surround sound headphones and sound bars. It's nothing but software emulation.

It’s usually for people who are short on space to do a proper setup, or they just want a more private experience then to disrupt or be disruptive to their environment

The soundbars and headphones are not even close to the same experience as a proper surround sound set up.

All of my PC sets of headphones have DD5.1 or Atmos and I turn that faked BS off.

Well, it's 99 bucks vs 1000 bucks. I've had surround headphones before (same brand) and the sound depth is far better than stereo headphones. I know independent speakers are ideal, but simulated surround can be quite effective if you get the sound zone right.

Paired with Dolby Atmos for Headphones, it's a pretty great and intimate experience.. spatial tracking and positioning is pretty spot on.

I just ordered me some Atmos Headphones! I wanted a soundbar, but they are just too expensive right now, so, next best thing!!

Amazon product

Froz give us a review once you get them. I’m thinking of doing this for $100 as well.

Cost and convenience. I’d say it’s like choosing between pc gaming and console gaming. Personally I’d love a true surround setup but it’s daunting and expensive to get it right. I start reading on how to set it up correctly and it feels like I need to take a course otherwise I’ll set it up wrong and not get my money’s worth.

I’m currently testing the SJ9 Atmos soundbar from LG. I have 3 weeks left to decide whether I want to keep it or return it. Still torn. Got a decent deal at 699. Doesn’t fake me out so that I think things are behind me but it does fill the room. Feels more like sounds are moving around the TV more than they’re moving around me. Sound is quality though.

When I look at the cost of an Atmos receiver and speakers, it adds up quick and I don’t know if I want to go through all the hassle to hide wires and place speakers perfectly.

My #1 complaint and skepticism of the SJ9 comes from the fact that there’s no options to calibrate it to the room. To me that’s a sign they don’t believe what they’re selling. If you aren’t calibrating the sound to the room, it’s because there’s no expectations the sound is supposed to fill up the room from different angles the way they promote it.

Yeah, calibration is key. I mean it has to bounce the sound, so the shape of the room and where you are sitting is pretty crucial.

So not only are both of my new controllers desyncing from my Xbox One X, it's even disconnecting when plugged in by USB.
Seriously Microsoft, get your sh*t together.

I had that problem with the front USB port. Sync them with the back ports first. Should work after.
Ok thanks I'll try that tomorrow.
I also just figured out that the reason it was disconnecting was because I had my headset plugged in. When I was getting frustrated with the constant disconnects I took it off and unplugged it and wireless then the was fine.
Now that may be because I was using the older style headset adapter rather than just plugging headset straight into controller. I was using it because I figured it's easier to adjust chat and game volumes using the adapter buttons rather than having to go into the menus.
I'll try plugging the headset straight into controllers tomorrow and see what happens.

I changed my wireless router to 2.4 ghr only as I read that can help. Unfortunately it also slows wireless internet but I figure if nobody notices that leaves more bandwidth for wired connections like Xbox One X and living room tv.
I also moved USB external hard drive away from console as I read that can effect controller signals.

Will find out tonight if changes help.

Played Battlefield 1 campaign for half hour with no disconnects or drops in headset audio.
Ran flawless.

Changes I made:
Moved power bar two shelves away instead of directly below Xbox
Moved external HD one shelf lower instead of directly beside Xbox
Kept router setting to both 2.4 and 5 htz but placed on channel 2 as opposed to auto

Interesting to see after only being out a month how well the Xbox One X is performing. I wonder what it will be like after another year of development time for developers?

The channel to auto wont do anything but to have 2.4 and 5 is a must. I have seen where they are 2.4/5 and cause disconnect from the wireless router.
