Hulu-Logo-SA-1167x520.png

As TV and movie lovers ourselves, we want to makes sure viewers can watch their favorite shows and movies in the best possible quality. 4K Ultra HD gives content creators a more immersive canvas for their stories. So today, we are excited to announce that Hulu now supports streaming in Ultra HD 4K– just in time for the premiere of our newest original series, Shut Eye. All episodes of Shut Eye will be available to stream on Wednesday, December 7, when you can catch Jeffrey Donovan and Kadee Strickland as they take you into the world of store-front Los Angeles psychics and you learn what it is like to con a con artist.

In addition to Shut Eye, you can stream other Hulu Originals including Chance, The Path and 11.22.63 in Ultra HD 4K.

Just in time for the holidays, we’ve also added the entire James Bond movie collection – binge on movies like Spectre, Die Another Day and Golden Eye with a much clearer and higher resolution picture. We have more than 20 James Bond movies available to stream via 4K. We’ll continue to add more 4K content over the next year.

4K Ultra HD Streaming is now available for Hulu viewers on the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One S with more devices to come in 2017.

Youtube adds support for 4K on the Xbox One S and X.

The new YouTube app includes support for 4K resolution videos and 60 fps, ideal for watching gaming footage or sports events. Unfortunately, there’s no support for HDR YouTube content with this particular app. The updated app is rolling out now, or if you don’t want to wait you install it early from the Windows Store.

Hmmm...

hmm youtube says 4k on x but is really 1080p... back to the pro i go

Maybe the Youtube app was giving false 4K reading, even though it was only 1080p....since apparently the Xbox didn't have a 4K youtube app until this week it seems.
Oh.. Hmm I thought I watched 4K videos on X.
They say 4K I click on em and it said 4K.
That event said 4K I click and it said HD...

Not sure, as I haven't tried. But if the above link supplied is true, then maybe that will fix the problem you had last week with it.

You're just used to all that FauxK you've been seeing. Must have messed with your head when you saw the real deal.

YouTube for Xbox One fucking finally supports 4K and 60 fps

The official YouTube app is getting a major upgrade for Xbox One Xand Xbox One S consoles.

It's a little late to the party, but the official YouTube app for Xbox One has picked up support for 4K (via Reddit). Coming more than a year after the Xbox One S launched with support for 4K video, the updated app will now stream 4K content on that console and the newer Xbox One X.

It doesn't look like HDR support is available here just yet, which is a tad disappointing. However, the updated app does include support for playback for video at 60 frames per second (fps). This comes not long after Google launched YouTube TV on Xbox One.

Curiously, it 4K support isn't coming in an update to the current app. Instead, you can grab the updated app from a separate, newer YouTube app listing. And though it's a separate listing, the app still very much looks the same, albeit with 4K and 60 fps support.

Are you a heavy user of the official YouTube app? Will this be enough to tear you away from third-party alternatives like myTube, which already included 4K support?

So does anyone know why my Xbox never downloads and installs new games when I am at work and buy them from my PC via Xbox.com or the Xbox app on the PC? Today for example, I bought PUBG, and at the end of the transaction, it gives me a button to click that says "install on Xbox". And I do. I do that every time. But when I get home, it is always listed under "ready to install".

I have my power settings for updates set to always/instant on for updates, and this is set as my home xbox. Thoughts on what I am missing here? It seems to work just fine on my PS Pro when I do it.

Are you using an external harddrive as your default install location?

If so, is your 'When Xbox is off, turn off storage' setting unchecked?

I'm not sure if thats the problem, but I had the same issue as you and after reading your post I just noticed this was checked for some reason in my settings. I'll let you know if this helps on my end (if I ever manage to turn off my Xbox).

The 'Dolby Atmos Access' App was updated today.

If any of you guys haven't tested it out or tested 'Dolby for Headphones', now is a good time to give it a check. They added a ton more Dolby Atmos encoded video demos: a cinematic short called 'Escape', Overwatch Animated Short - Infiltration, Overwatch Cinematic Trailer, World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor Cinematic, Everest: 'Storm'.

Also, if you don't have a surround sound set-up and aren't using Dolby Atmos for headphones... you're missing out big time.

Do you share home Xbox with anyone? If you buy something on Xbox.com, it will only download on your home console.

I just received the code for Tera online MMORPG. It will be my first run.

I will have 2 more codes to share. I will be giving them out in my channel.

Also I can confirm ots a 60 fps title. Once in a while it skips but i think its because of the server.

Its a nice looking game for a fantasy MMORPG.

Xbox made its commitment to WiSA known in October when it became the first gaming brand to join the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association, so it was a race against the clock for AV brands to be the first to deliver supporting gear. Axiim is first past the post, having just announced its Link HD speaker system for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. The Link transmitter is a compact and fuss-free way to tap into up to 7.1 wireless audio channels, and guarantees reliable, uncompressed transmission to wireless speakers. Its inherent function means it eliminates the need for speaker wires, but it also has a magnetic base, so you can sling it on the back of your TV out of sight. It's a neat way to enjoy premium audio while gaming, and works with all WiSA compliant brands, so you're not restricted when it comes to speaker choice. It's also the first Wireless Speaker and Audio Association endorsed multi-channel product for Xbox, but the company's recent move into this sector means it certainly won't be the last.

Anyone else do the Xbox rewards survey for this month? I can’t recall the question too well but there was one that seems to imply that Microsoft may be partnering with Harmond Kardon on something that involves implantation of Cortona in a future product.
