I swear to god, this must be the most rumors for a new gen release, EVER....100 fold. I have no idea who to believe. It's actually starting to piss me off, as it seems that people are taking ANY rumor from ANY source, including a random gamer on My Space and making an article about it.

nah most of these "leaks" are just idiots throwing info out to see if it sticks to the wall. Mostly BS and conjecture.

True. Only a few things are officially confirmed, everything else is rumor.

Currently, the only non-official stuff we have is based off of data miners, DF and their sources, and a few other things, so so far it's still looking like a 12+ TF XsX and a 9.x TF PS5. However, that PS5 info might actually be for the dev kit, which could put the retail unit at 8.9. Maybe.

Both numbers could be totally wrong, but there is literally nothing else out there except some random internet guys saying 'but I know someone who' or 'just wait' who say otherwise.....yet. They make claims but have nothing to back up what they are saying.

Less plausible, but I personally wouldn't be surprised if Sony was shooting for a 2019 release. I recently posted an article from 2018 supporting that, but it also looks like with the delay they tried to squeeze everything they can out of what they have, and are possibly having cooling problems. Now apparently they are having a potential problem with pricing due to component shortages and extra cooling costs.

Again, just a rumor, but not totally unfounded, as I've posted in the PS5 thread.

Anything else is just random/fake stuff unless backed up otherwise.

The Geoff leak could have been a controlled leak for all we know. Either way they weren't hurt by it so who cares?
Yup. No matter what...in the end, Microsoft is going to Microsoft and Sony is gonna Sony.

As Phil says.....the future is cloud based gaming and that plastic box under your telly means feck all going forward.....they who own the cloud own gaming

I want my game console with the game downloaded locally with the best performance and graphics. That will never change for me.

As long as it does the important stuff: tv tv tv.

I am fine with Sony and MS moving forward with cloud gaming....as an OPTION. I want my game console with the game downloaded locally with the best performance and graphics. That will never change for me.

Same here. It’s going to be an Interesting battle for the casual consumers’ dollars though.

I think MS are the only ones who are going after a piece of all of it...? Phil said in the future they expect Google and Amazon to be their big competitors. But both those companies are mainly competitors in the cloud market, right? I mean they don’t have any consoles planned that I’m aware of.

Sony and Nintendo are focused mostly on consoles. They acknowledge the potential of the cloud in the future, but I don’t see them making any aggressive moves towards it. And no company can build the infrastructure needed for it in a short amount of time.

Sony is just starting to move more games to PC, but are Amazon, Google, or Nintendo going after that market at all?

MS seems to be going after everything: Casual console gamers with a cheaper system, hardcore console gamers with a more powerful/expensive system, the PC market, and now mobile gamers with xCloud.

Buy a game one time, and play it on anything. Not full reality yet, and a big goal to aim for, but am I missing any other companies trying to do the same thing?

Agreed. Should the time come when the cloud is no longer an option but the only choice, well then I guess I'll be done with console gaming.

it seems that way, mlb the show, death stranding and horizon...horizon seems like it’ll come to of under the assumption that death stranding is using their engine.

and the dreams devs seem quite adamant in pushing it to other platforms. I hope it does, this is almost Sony’s equipment to Minecraft.
