... uh, that's as highly modded PC version on a 1200-1500 pc gpu... and still doesn't look like those screenshots. You proved nothing outside of me realizing that I dont know if i can respec your opinion on graphics. Seriously, i what way do those rocks and forest not look better?

Only thing I will say is that we dont know if the screenshots are game assets or just someone messing around with UE4 features.

It looks someone testing out quixel assets tbh, which are damn near perfect quality.

Looks like a great tool for smaller devs as well that don't have access to their own custom in-house developed suite of tools.

Yep. People missing the point. It's not about procedural assets having higher quality than hand crafted assets. It's about allowing teams to punch well above their weight in terms of manpower. The most limiting bottlenecks to game development is time, money and manpower. If you can make bigger worlds without needing to put a lot of development resources towards rocks, trees and dirt, or textures to large structures, you can focus the manpower towards other things that will make you game stand out. A 50 person team can create a big game.

This tech is still in it's infancy. It will get better. They will iterate and evolve consistently. ML isn't a magic box. It's exciting that these types of tools are now being pushed out to be used by the development masses. That's when they receive enough data to iterate faster. The personalized aspect of game development doesn't go away. It's just focused on different things.

I think gaming enthusiast over-rate how much the general population values 4K gaming. A $300 Game Pass box is probably going to out-sell Series X long term. 3 years from now, a digital only version could be a $150 Black Friday impulse buy.

People should chill about it holding gaming back. Next gen game design, when we get to the point of next gen only exclusives, will be hard to scale due to the massive CPU and I/O differences. Those things will impact gameplay rather than graphics. Microsoft's focus on PC means they were never going to stop scaling games to work across all types of configurations.

If Microsoft discontinues the One X, then why even make a Cyberpunk console of that model? Why not just wait for the Series S to customize the console?

hopefully that’s there confirmation that there is no Lockhart, unless it’s just a series x sans Blu-ray drive

All they have to do on the XSX version of FH5 is activate the Ray Tracing and you'll be using all the juice the XSX has.
Ray Tracing is a resource Hog but its the best thing to happen to graphics since 3D Polygons and texture mapping.
