Unfortunately not its 1/3 or 2/3. But if you remember Windows 8 metro apps could also be only snapped this way. Then Windows 8.1 brought 1/2 snapping, so there is hope perhaps with a future update.
Yes go ahead and set it up on your old TV. For the calibration you will have to go into the Xbox settings, you can do this on the new TV. You will need your TV remote handy and set the lighting to what you would normally have before you begin.
I don't believe so. It's locked at 70/30 I believe.
Not sure about other questions but as of right now you can't check the HDD for how much space is left. MS has said they know it needs to be added and will be adding it but gave no time frame.
Will it ask you if you want to calibrate your TV in the initial set up or is that something you need to go looking for later?Hardware: it's just quality, pictures don't do justice. The system looks and feels like a premium AV device and will not look out of place in your setup. The Xbox is very quite. No problems with the hardware.
Controller: much improved controller, just feels nice and fits like a glove, love it! My only minor gripe is that the shoulder buttons seems to be a bot higher than I'm used to. But I guess I will get used to it soon. Only thing missing is my FPS freaks, need to check the site to see if they've got ones available for the One.
Kinect: first thoughts was it looks big and chunky, but feels really solid. I think it can take a knock or two and still work (though I don't want to try it). The voice commands work surprisingly well, but if there was noise in the room I had to repeat the commands or tome down the volume on my TV a notch or two before Kinect would hear me. Hopefully MS will update the software so it works better in noisy environments. Other than that, all the commands works well for me. Its seems it works better with a normal tone of voice than shouting commands.
Update: The day one update is about 500mb. I have 55mbps down and 15mbps up verified from the Xbox one. The update to download and install took me 10 minutes.
Setup: The setup is a breeze and doesn't take too long to get things going. However, the apps needs to be downloaded on first use. The TV calibration is very good and definitely recommend it if you don't have professional calibration kits.
Games: I bought Forza from the store, after 15 minutes of download it was ready to play. I estimate it took 1hr 30minutes to download the entire game.
I would keep it at the 70/30 ratio for sports, shooters and fighting games. It would help the focus stay on what's more important. But for RPG games etc. I can see why people would want a 50/50.Maybe in the summer or winter update

lolNah.. not for me. I would like a choice of 80/20, 70/30, 60/40, 50/50.
So how do you snap TV? I mean what's the command? "Xbox, Snap TV"?Yes
Here is me playing Forza and watching TV
First impressions ..
- It's a box - it's black...
- Larger than X360 slim (not by much)...
- Runs quiet - installing a game now (BF4) - "hums" in my credenza. Otherwise - whisper quiet.
- Much Faster than X360
- While waiting - finally got to play around with PS4 demo at store.
- X1 OS/UI is hands down much better than PS4 UI/OS = much more fluid and (as expected) approachable.
- PS4, by comparison, feels "bare bones"... but serviceable.
- Game updates are HUGE - hope you have data plans..
- BF4 = 1.1 GB
- Forza 5 = 6GB!!!! (WTH?)
- AC4 = ??? (installing BF4 first)
Will update more as I fool around with it - overall - very happy and impressed so far...

Jesus....those are just updates? In no time that free space for games will be filled.
YesSo how do you snap TV? I mean what's the command? "Xbox, Snap TV"?
Don't you just hold it up to the Kinect? You can always do it through Xbox.com. I hated entering it through the controller.Has anybody found out how to enter pre-paid cards ?
Yeah I think the command is "Xbox, Scan Code" or something along those lines.Don't you just hold it up to the Kinect? You can always do it through Xbox.com. I hated entering it through the controller.

I think you have to say "Xbox, enter code" to get to the scanning screen. Remember Major Nelson's video? Haven't tried myself yet.Don't you just hold it up to the Kinect? You can always do it through Xbox.com. I hated entering it through the controller.
Oh man. You guys have no idea what it's like to say, "Xbox On," and "Xbox Turn Off - YES," to power on/off the console AND TV.
"Xbox Volume Up/Down" also works perfectly with my receiver.
The entire TV/receiver set up was gloriously easy.
I keep forgetting about Smartglass.Smart glass lets you type with your portable device. Better than a controller at least.
Well, I got cold feet yesterday and canceled my Amazon pre order. I got a PS4 last Friday and was feeling guilty for getting both systems.
Woke up this morning and couldn't bear it, just had to have it. OK'd it with the wife----->
Showed up at Best Buy 10 mins before opening.....and they had 4 left! Picked up Dead Rising 3 and Ryse.
Hype? Hype!
