Well the pre-orders sold out pretty fast in my country, I'm waiting to trade in my 1X anyway so I can wait a while, good luck guys!
X's sold quick , but S's were still available 12 hours after going live in the UK. Don't think the S is a popular choice here.

Yea I was about to post a couple stores still have the S available to pre order, surprising given the price but I guess people would rather go full out next gen.

So they are done now?

That was actually very well done, especially for an IGN video. Really makes me wonder. I'm now kinda leaning toward them letting Bethesda publish the big games on every platform, and just keeping the Gamepass goodness that comes with value of not having to pay $70 for these games on day 1 of release. Tough call, though. I wonder when we hear about their plans. They should just come right out and say instead of waiting for the next Elder Scrolls announcement or whatever... IMO.

Yeah. People have to remember that it was us gaming geeks refreshing the f*** outta these sites to buy a console. Mom and pop have no clue what even went down yesterday. They will drop $299 this holiday once they see it on TV and in store flyers.

It would be much cheaper to just buy GP exclusivity for a year dont you think? There's no reason to put their games on Sonys platform. Sony is the market leader. Microsoft isnt going to help the market leader continue to spank their own ass. Thats just not logical. They need to gain marketshare back from Sony. Not further increase it. .

Makes sense but doubt they will do what makes sense.

Personally, if you spend $7.5bn on a publishing arm to boost your platform and subscription service, you're making sense already. Lock that s*** in and get your market share back from your competitor. Dont help them continue to be the market leader and claim MORE of your lost market share. Im sorry. Thats just stupid. This is what MS needed to do. Now everyone expects them to be nice guys and still give these iconic titles over to Sony. Fvck that and fvck Sony. No offense. But MS took a huge slacking this entire generation. They lost alot of their fanbase to Sony because of it. People need to just get used to the fact that Xbox has legit bangers in their arsenal now. Like, legit GOTY or 90 metacritic titles and franchises. No way you hand that to Sony. They've got their own.

Yea my feeling as someone that has no stake in it, is drop the Bethesda games in Game Pass/console exclusive for a year or something then put it on Playstation. They might get people to buy an Xbox, but if not they still get the money from sales on rival console.

How is it that they can get one now and we can't? I assume they must be ready. Why do we have to wait 2 months?

Proably fake MS is like 10 months behind schedule according to the internet. \s

I agree with you but I'm also starting to see the other side that some detractors are mentioning. MSFT's approach in this instance of purchasing an entire catalog from a publisher could prove to be trouble in the future. Like someone else said of this approach "Can't make exclusives so just buy them".

What if another giant corporation comes in and money-hats another catalog of games from a large publisher? What's to stop them now that a precedent has been set, nothing really. That's kind of scary, but there's also the thought of no one is forcing the sale and its just business. I don't know but I can't help but think MSFT has opened another pandora's box like when they used their checkbook during the 360 days for exclusive DLC and timed exclusives. That approach has been heavily adopted by Sony and so to could this new strategy to secure games.
