Really struggling with what game to buy on launch. I want something fun but also that shows off the console.

So he's one of those types.

Didn't make sense but I am worried a bit.

Both IGN and Gamespot's "final previews" this morning only referenced the 120 fps multiplayer. Perhaps this beta preview program didn't have access to anything beyond that (that's what I'm hoping). Otherwise, I'm going to be super disappointed if we don't get the upgrades that Digital Foundry showed months and months ago.

I guess it's also possible all the sites with previews cared more about releasing their "content" this morning than actually analyzing the upgrades, and we'll have to wait for Digital Foundry or NX Gamer to actually show us the upgrades in a detailed way.

Side note, I've been insanely unimpressed with IGN's content lately. Constantly showing footage captured in HDR in SDR, low res, low bit rates, miserable analysis.all around.

IGN has gone way, way downhill lately. Not sure if they are cutting people or what. I used to put their reviews in pretty high regard (even if I didn't totally agree, they were at least well thought out). Lately they seem to have gone the clickbait route. Everything just seems to rushed.

I remember when the Series X was going to burn down entire cities until they weren’t .
It is going to be updated to 4k before launch. Others have confirmed that the people who had access couldn't talk about dashboard resolution because it wasn't updated yet.

Edit: they didn't say specifically that it was going to be updated to 4k, just that it wasn't final.

That CNET video states that Microsoft apparently sent a list out of issues with the present Gears 5 Series X upgrade, I'm assuming that's why a lot of the new previews have only mentioned the 120fps in multiplayer. Hopefully they get that crap ironed out, game could be a really nice looker for a week before Cyberpunk hits.

Microsoft told their employees they can work from home indefinitely like last week. I doubt they will have an in person event.

they have taken the pandemic pretty seriously, especially since Washington was one of the first hard hit states.

edit: actually, I’m pretty sure Microsoft said months ago they would have no in person events through 2022.

48c? Holy mother of f***, I wouldn't have been shocked if the SSD alone got past that, but having the apu at that temperature is insanely impressive.

I would like to know the ambient temperature of the air they tested this at.
