I wouldn't have Gold without gamepass at this point so it wouldn't have any impact on me but not everyone is going to want or need that so its f***ed up.

I won't be renewing XBL Gold at $120 a year. Either I find a CD Key deal for a year for like $40-$50, otherwise I am out off like a prom dress. I barely ever play online. I will either buy my online games on my PS5 or I will buy a month, and probably only play a month. $120 is ZERO value for me. I don't even bother with any of the free with gold games.

They should at least remove the requirement from F2P games

I agree. But I don't play any F2P games. Even with Halo Infinite, I would most likely only play campaign. But if I did want to dabble in the F2P multiplayer, it would be nice to not have to fork out $10 a month.

It's a tone deaf move, but people will still pay it. Like Hedon I buy my GPU from CDKeys for a discounted price, and bought six months of it from Best Buy on Black Friday for a great deal. CDKeys currently has it for $39.99 for 3 months of GPU for those interested in getting it at a cheaper price now.

Yep. When I got my XSX, I switched over and bought a couple of them from CDKeys. Don't pay retail. Look for deals.

This XBL price increase is one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen and am shocked they would do something this dumb to damage their brand after Phil turned around the brand image from Xbox One launch.

This seals my decision in not buying a Series X.

If you’re an existing online 12-month or 6-month Xbox Live Gold member, there’s no price change. If you choose to renew your membership, it will renew at your current price.

 
I'm on GPU, so it doesn't directly effect me, but this seems like a brain-dead move. Like Jez says, what extra value do you get for the extra cost compared to PS Online? It's pretty ridiculous. I wouldn't have been surprised at a "slight" increase, like $69 or $79 for a year, but DOUBLE THE PRICE!!! It just destroys a lot of the good will the MS has been building for the past year or two. SMH

No anyone who already has a good sub isn't getting changes. You pay the same for 12 months.

It's not hard and written down for all to read.
NEW accounts are the ones basically being pushed towards the ultimate sub
