So they are not talking hardware the show, but more and more rumors are out now that the Xbox One X and Xbox One SADE are now discontinued officially.

I would think they would at least have Xbox Series S announced or out to replace it. Shelves will be empty for months to come, unless they stock up Xbox One S.

Supposedly they are announcing this in August now.

Could indicate an earlier than expexted release date.

There’s that 60 FPS again ;-)

I think I’ll wait the extra hour and watch in 4K. The Sony stream never done their games justice. I don’t want the first time I see Halo Infinite gameplay spoiled by a poor livestream.
That will be one of the longest hour waits ever.

OMG, I would literally be FREAKING out not watching it real time.

The thing you'll see on the 23rd is we're giving our studios real creative freedom to build the games that they envision.

As you know we've added a lot of studios to the to the Xbox Game Studios organization over the last few years and providing them the financial stability, the creative freedom to go build the games that they want to go build, and our game creators want to build great games that can reach a large audience of players.

So I think what you hear Matt [Booty] talking about and what our creators will say is we have a vision for every game that we're building and the vision starts with the player, not the device. If a creator comes to us and says 'No, I really want to focus on next generation' with their games, we're completely open to that and we're very supportive of that.

If a creator comes to us and says I have this vision for reaching these customers across different platforms and different generations we're completely supportive of that.

It is really about our creators having choice and allowing them to build the games that they want to build to reach the audience that they're looking for and not things that we're mandating to our creators in terms of what they have to go do.

It's not our rules for our platform it's more about creators creating the games that they want to go build looking ahead.

You know what just hit me? Activision has yet to showcase the next COD... could they show it as a returning relationship at next weeks Xbox event?

Certainly hope not.

Sony usually has COD marketing deals, but maybe.

Personally I’d rather see the next Battlefield.

I believe we'll get good looks at Halo, Forza Motorsport, Everwild and Hellblade 2. We'll get a long gameplay demo for Halo. Obsidian's game and Fable will be trailers. They're further out. Have heard the Initiative won't be at this show. They aren't ready. Everwild supposedly will surprise a lot of people. Forza reboot is also supposed to be impressive. Halo alone will be a mic drop. From all different corners Halo sounds like it's a 10/10 on the hype meter. If Microsoft is going to drop surprises, they're doing a good keeping them under wraps.

As someone who still ranks Halo as my favorite IP of all time and have put in over 2500 between Halo 5 and the MC collection this gen, I'm super excited by what I'm hearing about Halo. I'm expecting it to become one of the top 3 IPs in gaming again.
