http://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-one-with-1-year-of-xbox-live-100-gift-card-av/1100-6421143/

The deal includes the $400 Xbox One system (that's the one that doesn't come with Kinect) and a year of Xbox Live Gold, which ordinarily costs $60 but can be had from time to time for around $40. Even at their regular prices, that means the $440 offer saves you only $20, but provided you're willing to shop at Dell again, it becomes a much enticing offer thanks to the $100 gift card.

More details after the jump.

Another steal of a deal. The Xbox One must sound more and more appealing to potential buyers.

Microsoft appears to be doing another of its "thanks for being such a loyal Xbox Live user" goodybag rollouts - as reported by OXM contributor Ben Borthwick, "valued" subscribers are receiving a free download code for the first episode of Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 2.

Who knows what they consider valued? But I've been waiting for the series to finish before buying.

Cool gesture, but i got this episode for free already. Don;t remember exactly when it was, must have been last year, but i downloaded it for free.

For some reason MS never seems to consider me a valued subscriber in these types of things. It must be because I dis Bing all the time.

How can you dis BING!?!

j/k

I really can't dis Bing though. I've earned over $250.00 from Bing rewards and my wife has started using it as well. She's already earned about $65.00.

Love me some Bing rewards

lol I use it for the rewards too.

Same here, I think it was during one of MS's week of games sales.
Yup, me too. I also recently bought the ep 2-5 season pass for $7.50 on sale...great deal for the full season. Love these games....they're just a different change of pace.

Hmmm....think it was with the big summer sale. Not sure if it was listed on Major Nelsons site tho. I think I found the link to it on some site and bought it on xbox.com (was on vacation). Bought it on 7/13.

Man, wish I saw that sale. That's a killer price for an awesome franchise.

It's that time of year again, my sub expires in a couple of weeks and I want to renew it for another year maybe two depending on cost ext.

Wheres the best most cost effective place to do so?

I'm interested. I'm currently using a 3month live sub I got from another package. I want to look for the best deal for yearly Gold as well.

Hate to say it man, but the best way is to look around far before your sub expires. There are always random sales throughout the year, and I've never paid more than $35 for a year, even though my sub was still good for 6 more months.
Since you're limited on time, you might want to check out cheapassgamer.com...they always show the best deals. Hopefully they'll find an XBL sale before yours expires.

Yeah, you can't get butthurt about this stuff as they likely choose folks at random from a pool of users that meet a certain criteria (i.e. how long on live). I really doubt $$ spent is a factor.

If the only places available have it at regular price, it's a matter of time before they go for $20 off.

If you can't wait, scope out Costco. Here in Canada, the reg price is $50 to start, so it's already $10 off vs everyone else. It's often sold for somewhere in the $40s. I bought two 12 month cards early in the year there for $37 each. I'm good till Feb or March 2016.

I'd say either trade games to some place in exchange for store credit towards the year subscription or wait for a good deal to come around.
