And here I was thinking I was the only one who held that opinion of Kojima. But my opinion may stem from my belief of Splinter Cell > MGS.
I think Kojima is terribly overrated but also think it's a good "get" as, apparently, most don't seem to share my opinion. While the MGS series never really captured me (played 2 & 3, demo for 4, Ground Zeros; never finished any of them) and nothing about Death Stranding really grabbed me, I'll always give him a chance to change that with his next project (no matter the platform). You never know what this guy is going to come up with and frankly, I'd rather have him producing new IP instead of MGS XXX. Assuming whatever game they are working on is Gamepass day 1, I'll certainly play it and give it the chance that any game deserves...to appeal to me on it's terms.
I feel the same too, that man is overrated AF. His developers are extremely good talented. Too bad it always feel Blah.
For starters I have never been a big fan, but I know he has a huge following and in the end it will be a good thing for Xbox (hopefully).
If they were smart they would let him/have him do a cloud based horror game coming off all the rumors.
When they say cloud based do they mean using the 'power’ of the could or a game made specifically to stream on Xbox Cloud?
Likely "power of the cloud". There would be no real reason to have an xCloud streaming only game. But a game that heavily uses Azure Cloud for extra compute (like Flight Simulator) would make more sense. What they would use it for, I have no idea!
Same here. He’s innovative for sure, but I could never get into his games.
Xbox seems to be picking up a little momentum in Japan, so IMO this can only help that.

I’m sure they as well as Sony and, to a lesser extender, Nintendo have things to counter when theirs an event/announcement scheduled publicly
Xbox's was likely that all 4 one all access music video.
To be honedt, neither Ninty's or Sony's announcements were cool. One was a more expensive controller and the other a meh indies game show where the main attraction is an Xbox Studios Game. lol.
I really wouldn't be surprised if XGS isn't mentioned anywhere obvious when it hits PS5.
You don’t think it will have Microsoft’s “Bethesda and Arkane” shown on the title screen when you boot the game?
