That's a strange one. I've used the same 12 energizer rechargeables for like 4 years and the new controllers (have 2) haven't behaved any differently than the old ones in my experience. Would think it's a defective controller in that case....not sure if the controllers are still in warranty? prob not.

I'm sad you guys don't have ginger beer, as that means you also don't have Moscow Mules! Ironically the first place I ever had or heard of ginger beer was in South Africa. We've had Ginger Ale in the US for a long time though, the two are a bit different from each other (ginger ale a bit of a bland "old person" soda, ginger beer much more "gingery".
We do have Monster energy drinks " Mule Ginger Brew"... Can't stand the taste though lol
