I opened a second tab, went to MS.com and went into cart and place order again. That tab finally updated to pick payment and finalize payment.
Mine finally went through. The controller had already been charged, too. I have an order number so I think I am good.
Took me about 40 mins on the Microsoft store checkout screen trying the button over and over again but finally went through! I will be getting a XSX!

Yeah. I actually had to reset my cart and add the box in again with the controller this time - I think the first time since I was in edge and chrome and I tried to update the order with the controller it got weird. I never saw the payment info the first time, but this time in chrome only once it got to the shipping page after two times waiting through the grey bars it had my ms account balance and my card info and then it was good.
I think I'm out of luck. I had one "in the cart" at Target and the MS store, only when I went to checkout they both magically disappeared.
