Im here cause I was hoping Crackdown would show off some of the possible graphical spendor of Xbox One X.
Sorry if my opinion rattles you so much Xbot.
Da fuq, you fukin goon, Don't be an a******. It was a genuine question, FFS. I don't give a s*** what you think of the game one way or the other. Its not going to affect my purchase or enjoyment. I was curious as to why you came in here talking about a fuking Sony game in an Xbox Crackdown 3 thread. Jesus fuking Christ. Chillax or some s***.

You're telling me to relax but you're the one who flew off the handle because I said I didnt like a game and prefered another.

No, genius. I went off the handle for you calling me an Xbot when I asked a simple question. You have no desire or interest in any CD game - which begs the question of why you needed to even visit the thread to begin with. Then you brought up a Sony game. I couldve gone the rest of my life without it, honestly. Just seemed like a huge waste of time to me. Your time I guess...

I agree that gameplay is most important but graphics do matter. That's why the Xbox One X is $500. It also makes no sense this is the game releasing same day as the X when that console is about graphics and Crackdown is not. Weird that on the day the most powerful graphics console launches, Microsoft is hoping most people will be playing what looks like a remastered 360 game on it.

I think Shadow of War will release sometime in October and since its being optimized for the XBX perhaps that will be the game to wow us all with its visuals. I do think Crackdown should have been the title to show what the XBX is capable of after all its from an internal studio who should have been given all the tricks and secrets to pushing the XBX but that doesn't look like its the case.

Its funny how if I post in a Ps4 thread about not liking a game people suggest alternatives or debate the games merits.
But in the Xbox forum if you say you dont like something people start a bitchfest.
Its a game/console. Stop taking everything so personally.

You'r right, I checked and like 4 different studios were listed, lol. But I think my point remains that as an exclusive I think a bigger emphasis should have been on making sure this game showed at least a little of what the XBX is capable of. But I haven't seen any of the multiplayer that is supposed to have all this destruction and show the power of cloud computing so I'll wait before making any final judgments. I just think the E3 reveal didn't do this game any favors at least not with me.

I just think some are not fond of the cartoon art style. Games like this, Journey, Fable, Cuphead, Nier...all going for a unique cartoon style video game look. Not all games have to look like Rise of the Tomb Raider, or Ryse or "insert any other game made to look like real life".

OMG, Cuphead looks so cartoony!!!! WTF???!?!

I like the the look, I'm a big fan of splashy/flashy presentation so naturally I'd welcome Cel Shade. My thing is the E3 reveal of single player gameplay didn't look all the fun to me. But it was such a small sample that I'm not about to rule out this game. I did read that MSFT is spacing out Crackdown across the the other game conferences to keep the game in our minds leading up to its release. If so, that's smart marketing move.

The more I watch, the less I hate the visuals. I really think a lot of the detail is getting killed by the Youtube compression. I bet we will see a lot of comments about how much better it looks in person, tbh. That said, I really wish they had a more physical animation system. It's a tough call to make though, because much of the "jankiness" in the animation is from it prioritizing response over animation, so there is a lack of smooth transitioning. Still, I really would like to see more movement/animation that centers around the environment like shoulder slamming cars into baddies and the like. I'd also like to see better "large object carrying" animation. I quite like the big explosions, though.

Otherwise, I anticipate this game to be a lot of fun. So much controversy about it's visuals puts the lie to the Gameplay > Graphics or Graphics don't matter narrative that was so popular not long ago. I mean, check out the GAF thread on this. Nearly every comment is about visuals.

The game looks great for what it is. You can't have every game be gritty and realistic looking. I think the issue is people just don't see enough gritty games coming down the pipeline for Xbox right now and hate on Crackdown 3's visuals. If it was a Nintendo game it would be lauded for it's art style.
