So what does sony have confirmed against MS in 2016? lets just assume MS cancels all the fall/winter 2015 lineup(apparently that's what we are doing)

You don't need to remind me of TLG's story. That's part of why I don't think it'll slip. It can't afford to.

Horizon was announced as 2016 at E3. Someone recently started a rumor that it was going to be 2017, and they debunked the rumor and re-confirmed it as 2016.

But it had trouble beating Halo 2 so clearly its sucks.

Funny how back in the day the way people bashed the Xbox was by saying all it had was Halo and here we are over a decade later and the lone reason for why the Xbox One has the best lineup according to you is it has Halo.

I need a link to the official confirmation, not links to developers hoping it goes 2016, an official announcement, the kind you put on your website once you are confident over 1 month after this supposed announcement.

Why did it have problem beating halo 2? GT did. Where did I say just halo? Gears and Forza sell very well.

But that is it. The only exclusive series that hit that ridiculous bar you set is Halo, Gran Turismo, and various Mario related titles. Is it some huge knock on the PS4 that it doesn't have a series that can do what very very few franchises can?

Dev's have said multiple times they are targeting 2016.

Anyone remember Sony's E3 from 2 years and where the big reveals are at relative to release? Offhand I remember No Man's Sky and The Witness. Not sure about the rest.

Halo, GT, and Mario are still around.

Let's be real though, you are talking exclusives. Its not some unicorn, COD does it, GTA does it, the only difference is PS doesn't give the GT series the support they need or they don't want it not sure were the problem is. MGS was a popular PS franchise so was GTA, but they let them go. They've also attempted many IPs that couldn't. If you see that as a knock, that's up to you, I see it as MS and Nintendo have the most popular brands in their lineup by far. You are totally fine when I say things like "Sony is crushing MS in hardware sales" or "MS will NEVER catch up", but yet you get upset when I mention halo. Others do the same.

So by a large margin, Nintendo and MS have the most popular games lineup despite a smaller user base. Maybe that's why sony is attempting fair amount of cheaper indies, maybe trying to recapture the spark they let slide through their fingers with MGS and GTA for example.

Multiplatforms are doing it but there isn't an exclusive doing that on either system right now but thats ok for X1 for some reason. If this criteria for games is so important why are you ok with just 1 Xbox series getting there? Why are you ok with the X1 having no games that get there?

Saying the PS4 is crushing the X1 in sales is fine. Dismissing the X1 because it sells less is ridiculous.

And for the record Metal Gear didn't sell as well as Halo either.
 
Guys, do you know what games have outsold any version of Halo, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Forza, Fable, MGS or Final Fantasy?

I'm saying that NX could end up with the best and best selling games line up, that's all I'm saying.

A dev telling you the release date they are targeting isn't speculation it's what the actual plan is at the current time. Could that plan change at some point? sure but there is no reason to believe that it will.

1 game that comes every year. Halo is a series we will get in some form every year. FPS, RTS, whatever, every two years at worst. Its a brand. Mario is the same, it comes out often and is successful.

Nintendo and MS have 1 really strong, top tier series, Sony used to have two, now they have zero, one at best if GT makes some crazy comeback but they have already told fans what they didn't want to hear about old standard cars returning.

MGS4 sold 6 million, not something just to throw away. GTA is a more pure example, but nonetheless both are very strong.

Quite literally more than half of that entire list is games are for PC as well, and a good majority of these games are already long released for PC with a PS4 port still on its way. I never liked how PC is treated like background noise at times. They should list "console exclusive" to at least acknowledge the fact that they are in fact multiplatform games.
