Middle-Earth Shadow Of Mordor Discussion

What's cool is there is xp in the game to level up and also it's open world pretty sweet counting down and speaking of going down is my savings account with all these freaking games.

I could go either way on the Season Pass, but to be honest, Batman Arkham Origins and Saints Row IV have put those in a positive light to me. $24.99 is a bit too high, but if the content is interesting, then I could see myself picking it up on a sale. Game looks awesome either way. This is the one game I'm willing to bend my rule of not buying anything too expensive this year.

IGN had a live demo. I am not sure how different it is from the Gamescon demo.

Thanks for this. I totally forget about this live event. I will have to watch some other time though, is a bit long to be watching right now. Lets face it though, it is guaranteed to be awesome:)

Like dragon age, I'm not watching any more of these videos. I'm already sold on it.

My mind is telling me no, but my body, my body's telling me yes

Resist the dark side, you must.

Yeah, just watched that one-hour gameplay video, and I'm super impressed! I just don't know how I'm going to play all these games that are coming out... Destiny next week, Forza Horizon 2 and this on Sept 30, then there's still Dragon Age, Alien, Halo, Far Cry 4, AC Unity...

Why do they all have to come out within 60 days of one another!? WHY?!?

I don't think I'll actually get all of those, at least not right away. I could find the money, but definitely not the time! A few will have to wait for the next gaming drought... whenever that will be!

Mordor is looking like one of the "must-haves" though!

It definitely surprised me how fun it looks. When i first heard of another LotR action game i kinda dismissed it, but after hearing/ reading more about it the better it started looking and now its a day one purchase for me!

Im gonna wait for some reviews and word of mouth just to make sure this isn't yet another sub par LOTR game, but ill drop dime on it pretty quick if its good. At the least it'll give me an action/rpg to play until DAI comes out.

AMAZING fun you guys are going to have a blast with it, the time i had with it kind of reminded me of sleeping dogs with how the combat and timing was, soooooooooooooooooo much options to upgrade and the nemesis system is just orgasmic but im just it'll get repetitive once you grab enough orcs and you start hearing the same things..but the dude who was talking to me said there was like 6 million different orcs always fluxiating and replacing other orc leaders and they have all sorts of different names..some funny as hell

Woooaah. That Was awesome! The voice acting is great! .. And they even got Andy Serkis to do Gollum!

I don't think it is Andy Serkis, he's been working on a jungle book movie and was on planet of the apes before that, plus, at around the 12 minute mark in this vid they talk about the guy who's actually doing it, some dude named Liam somethin'

Having a lot of doubts about this one, especially because it's open world and it sure needs to be an interesting gameworld if they want me to explore it and what not. But who knows, maybe it will prove itself to be awesome.

I'm pretty sure that they announced it was Andy serkis doing the voice for Gollum in this.

I don't know if it helps but so e of the designers for this open world also worked on red dead redemption which was my fav.

So far as I know it's just the writer from RDR who helped write the story, other than that it's a monolith game, so mostly a bunch of guys who made the fear games...
