I'm loving the Spotify app. MS is really missing out on this.
Now playing - Do It Clean - Echo and the Bunnymen
We are all in parties.Ok, my big gripe with the PS community is the lack of mics. Come on people. You should not be playing a game like R6 Siege without a mic. Out of 11 other players, I rarely see 1-2 with a mic.
I take it people would recommend the Uncharted collection? Best Buy has it for $20 this week.
Oh yeah. At least if you enjoy action adventure games like that. Just beware some of the mechanics in the first game are old. I enjoyed the first game a lot myself, but other people have gripes.
I'll have to pick up a copy myself. $20 is a nice deal.
Another question - has anyone run into heat issues with the PS4? Summer is coming and thanks to El Nino is probably going to be extra hot.
Does anyone have a general idea on how hot is "too hot" to play?
Don't you have air conditioning?
I haven't had any heat issues with the PS4, and I haven't heard of any real concerns about that. Just don't wrap it in a blanket, and you should be okay.
Good to know, thanks. If it gets much hotter than low 80s then I am not sitting playing games anyway.
My house is about 70 degrees year round. I never notice my PS4 get hot, but the fan sure does like to fly. If you hear your fan, you know it's cooling!
If its warm in the back it means the cooling fans are working.Mine is definitely warm in back. Nothing like the old launch 360s but warm. This is obviously under normal temps and plenty of ventilation.
Probably the goofy slant they put in the back that makes it impossible to plug anything in the back without moving it.
I have the wrong ductwork for a/c. I have one room that has a portable in it, but it tends to blow circuit breakers a lot.
I keep my gaming setup in the basement so it stays somewhat cool. It can still get very hot in my house though if the summer is long and hot. Actually where I am (Buffalo, NY) doesn't get super hot, it just doesn't cool down at night... at all. So the highs might be mid-80s, but the lows overnight only hit mid-70s so nothing cools down. Basically my house sits at a balmy 80-82 most of the time if we get a bad summer. Run warm electronics in a room for more than an hour and that goes up and up.
I just noticed that the back of my PS4 is a little warm to the touch. Not bad, but noticeable. I always keep the airflow going and don't use an entertainment center. I usually get a fan to blow the hot air coming out the back too which helps.
Then September comes and it snows like crazy
Oh, man, that sucks. I love air conditioning. I think it's the best invention ever, next to maybe the wheel. I went a few days without a/c in the summer a decade ago -- I live in the deep south, mind you -- and life didn't seem worth living. Then I got a/c back, and I thought, "God bless the person who invented air conditioning."

Agreed. I too live in the south. A/C and indoor plumbing are the best inventions EVER for people that live down here.

well the PS4 like any good electronic should shutdown before it over heats and kills itself. Id' say all the game consoles have that built into them.
This is going some place interesting.
Thinking of getting uncharted 4. Everyone acts like it's the second coming so I guess I should see what the fuss is about. Narrative be damned, I don't have the time today to play through 1 - 3.
