Forums for PC2 at the official site seem to be pretty quiet. I think you are right menace, not sure the population for this game is that big at the moment.

I can't figure out why, though. Career, UI, options, track selection, car roster are all good. The controls seem perfectly fine to me. I havrn't seen the erratic A.I yet. Online seems fine...Although a bad bit of lag really ish't good.

I am just reading the game is buggy, quite a bit buggy. I personally haven't seen bug issues, but then again I have hardly any time in the game yet.

Have seen a couple, the biggest would be taking pole but started the race near the back...has only happened once, though.

I am now reading of a known issue where you complete a season, in first, but not awarded so. I guess they are working on it.

I had no idea this game had rubbering in, different levels of debris based on the travel path of the cars over time, the washing away of debris after rain, and the return of debris once travel path has started to dry and rubber starts to stick to the track again. WOW.

Dev responding to a gamer who isn't happy with the shape of the puddles and thinks the game doesn't look good:

"Yes
smile.png

Especially as I agree and you don't know the work that went in to the 'square puddles'. We run over half a million points along the circuit and the puddles form dynamically using proper fluid dynamics reading the localised weather, terrain, slopes, drainage etc of all materials, and where the cars drive to dissipate the water and how the ambient temperate and sun cause evaporation, live and in real time. We're not painting pretty puddles in set places is the point.

The downside was we had to cut resolution to some point or it would only run on a supercomputer."

I finished my first series finally. The controls dial in you gave me I think hit the spot. I am now racing VERY comfortably. So it is either the changes you had me make, or I am adjusting to what I am playing. If it is adjusting to what I am playing, then I am afraid to go back to FM7, as I might not be able to keep a car on the track!

One way to put it, I am now as comfortable, if not more comfortable driving in PC2 than I was in Forza 7. And the AI, while of course not perfect in PC2, is leagues ahead of Forza 7. Just the other day, the AI gave way to me during races with impressive precision. I loved seeing the car nose dive down as they braked next to me to concede without hitting me, and pop in behind me. In FM7, I am pretty sure the AI would have given me a good ol' pit maneuver.

Most likely a combo of the two.

Yeah the A.I is much more aware than it was in PC1. Not sure why some think it hasn't improved.

Project Cars 2 Is Getting Classic Porsches Very Soon

Project-Cars-2-Porsche-4.jpg

Fancy jumping into the driver’s seat of one of the most iconic makes of car in the world? Project Cars 2 will soon let you do just that.

Developer Slightly Mad Studios recently announced that the racing simulation will be getting a Porsche Legends Pack to celebrate the brand’s 70th anniversary in early March. You’ll be able to race these vehicles across five new career options.

Also included in the pack is an FIA-certified track, 20 liveries and nine new community events. Alongside the DLC, the PC version of the game recently received a big update that includes some performance improvements, gameplay balance tweaking and big AI improvements.

Taking a break from shooters and climbers and puzzlers. Working on my career in this game again as of this morning. This game is pretty damn awesome. The cars and the controls feel so good.

Just finished the last race of season one. I won ALL of the races except the last race. There was a slight snow flurry and a wet track, and on the last lap, I spun out and all the cars passed me. I ended up in last place in that race. The game said I had an unsuccessful season. It didn't let me choose to do that particular race again, I have to do the ENTIRE season over.

Ah...f*** no. Who thought THAT would be a good idea?!?!?!

No. It doesn't.

It depends on 1.) Overall championship points. 2.) What the team goals are.

It is easy to lose a winning season by finishing a race in a very posistion.

I am fine with that. But not allowing me to do the last race over, sucks. I don't want to race the entire season again.

Pretty sure you can, but you have to do it before the race ends.
Ah s***. Well, thanks man. I will do that for next time then. I will go back and do the races (less the qualifying) so that I can move forward. I have only raced one car so far in the game, because I am in that series (first series). The Junior series.

Patch 4.0 is now live on Xbox. 12.1 GB in size.

Looking forward to trying out the new tyre model changes, A.I improvements, and trying out the new steering lock assist meant to help catch the backend for pad users.
