I don't know if I love or hate the new map on the test server. I think it is a lot of both.
It seems even harder than the original map if you don't have a good ranged gun with a good scope. Too many tiny dots on the hills that could be brush or a sniper about to pop you in the dome.

Totally agree. I love the new map but if you don’t have a scope and an AR you’re in trouble.
I love it. Great map. Different flow. Playing it like Erengal will get you get killed, quick. Love it.
A good scope isn't all that necessary. This is a map where you can play to what you have. Only have medium range gear then use the map to allow for it. Obviously, that is easier said than done and it will take time for all of us to figure the best way of doing these things...but need a 4x or better scope is not a necessity, nice, but not necessary.
I feel like I'm constantly running to stay in the zone and someone is just camped to shoot me, but maybe that will get better as I learn it more.

I definately hear you on the loot issue. I understand it is RnG but it is also meant to be competitive, which means there needs to be more logic to the RnG madness on Mirimar.
I hear you on the zone too. I swear this map is bigger than erengal. On erengal I have an area Ii land in and it keeps me in the zone 90%+ of the time, or very close for the rest. That seems to be impossible on Mirimar.
Yeah I was trying to figure out what's different. I'd land and be in the first circle, but no matter what I end up having to put away all my guns and just flat out sprint to stay in the zone. I'm constantly getting killed simply because I can't stop to check for others.
On Erengal if you are in the original circle you're probably not going to be too far out of the final one. You may have to run, but not like the new map.
It definitely plays way different for sure, which I guess is good in a way. I did get quite a few top 10s but didn't really come close to winning.
Has anyone else noticed people using shotguns more in the final circles on the regular game? I’ve been killed a lot lately by shotguns in the top 10.
I am 99% sure I have never been killed by a shotgun in the top 20 let alone top 10.
I never use shotguns by choice, but they are the one gun I find everywhere. I don't think I have more than 2-3 shotgun kills.
I just can't think of any situation where I'd prefer a shotgun over say an smg. Even then, I'd prefer two assault rifles over one smg. Give me a burst fire with a good scope plus an AKM or M416 or similar and I'm good.

I’ve been killed 4 times with a shotgun in the top 10 in the last week. What sucks is I’ll be hitting them before they kill me.
Don’t think I’ve ever been killed by a shotty in the end game. I hate those things. I can’t do crap with them and seem to be OHK’ed by them all the time.
Yeah it might just be that shotguns are all over. I find that 1897 pump shotty everywhere on the new map. I'm dropping it as soon as I find just about any other gun though.

To be fair, the over under shotty is pretty beastly if you put in the time and get good with it. With a choke and bullet loop it has good distance and fast reload.
I swear more people are using keyboard and mouse or something. I played a bunch of rounds last night on the test server and I got wrecked. I mean, I couldn't even get into the initial circle. The new map just clusters people together. What sucks is people kill me outside the circle and I know they had little chance of surviving either. 30 seconds left and the circle is far away, but they are camping just looking to kill me?
I’ve ran into people lately on the regular game and test server with godly aim even with a pistol. It’s frustrating.
Never underestimate the random gamer's urge to screw you over even at their own expense. Might as well be King of the Ashes.
Well you can survive the circle easily late mid game and before...bit harder in end game.
Test Server for me is massively inconsistent. I put it down to it being an NA server and me being in UK, cause on the preview server I am consistent and good again...but maybe I am wrong, maybe something else is at play.
Something seems off between the test server and the regular one. I'm in NA obviously and it still feels weird. On the test server I feel like a day 1 noob. Not that I'm great at this game but it is rare that I don't make the top 25. Sure, every now and then someone gets me early but it rarely happens on the old server. Some guy sniped me with an uzi from somewhere I couldn't even see.
Maybe it is just how clustered everything is. I try to avoid the high traffic areas but still end up stumbling onto multiple people as I'm scrambling.
It seems people are joining forces in solo now. Just came across two dudes peaking from behind the same tree shooting at me. WTF!
Usually parallax refers to layering effects or elements to get a 3d look. Not sure how that would apply to a 3d game outside of parallax mapping.

Had a good time playing with some buddies in Squads last night. We got back to back dinners and one of them I had the game winning kill. Our last match three of us was upstairs in a building waiting to see where the next zone was going. We see a guy by himself pull up in a buggy. He immediately comes upstairs and somehow takes all 3 of us out while we’re shooting him. When did they add John Wick in this game?
Came across a couple of John Wicks last night. I hit one guy on the stairs with an M249. I might as well have been using a water pistol. He killed me and and the rest of the squad without even batting an eye lid.
