It's a car. It should be either shoot the driver, tires, or the engine if you have a powerful enough weapon. The game is aiming for a more realistic style. The Vehicles serve other purposes for their inherent value as well. Traps and draws. You shouldn't be able to kill a car with an M16 or pistol. They can do things that make sense like having terrain have a more realistic effect, but I feel it's implemented pretty well right now.In solo/duo a buff was needed. In squads you could destroy a car so quick already.

I remember crossing a bridge in a truck and the pucker factor was huge. I almost didn't make it due to ONE dude waiting there. I skinned it, as it should be. If they nerf the vehicles, people just won't use them.
I think this change could be a good thing. I’ve gotten a few top 5 finishes now and you see a car or Jeep just driving in circles in loads of final 5 matches in Solo. No one wants to shoot and give away their position so the driver just spins around and around ramming players. It’s pretty cheap. What I find interesting is that this does not seem to happen on PC according to the community and developer.
I think the console aiming makes the difference. It is far too easy to just zig zag around in a car. I've had people catch me running out of a house and fire many shots at me as I drive away. Unless they get a lucky shot or are some mouse/kb user or are freakishly good, they can't even hit me.
If I see someone driving, I'm not even bothering to take a shot no matter how close. I'm just never going to hit them even if they are coming towards me or away. The sound of course gives you away but as long as you have gas what are people going to do?
The vehicles are fine... playing solo on FPP is the way to go as it makes it a lot harder to spot people in the vehicle to just run around and run people over.
Solo

Which is actually far more realistic than being able to quickshot a headshot like you can with mouse aim. I actually like how difficult it is to hit something when moving given how hard it is to do in real life. A lot of people take that for granted.
I've definitely shot people in their cars, but usually once they've jumped in or slowed down.
Nerfing the vehicles is a bad idea. I totally get why Bluehole is doing it (i.e. aiming in PuBG XBO currently sucks so bad to where vehicular homicide is the best way to go), but this pushes the game toward more of an arcade-style shooter and makes driving pointlessly dangerous. A big NO THANK YOU! I'm hoping this is just a temporary change until Bluehole can actually fix the controls/aiming.
Solo is the most intense. Squads are fun though. What's everyone's favorite mode? Solo, duos, or squads? If you could only play one from here on out.
AwesomeThe other day I drove by some guy shooting at me as he stood by the seaside cliffs at the top of the map. I guess he thought I wouldn’t risk my car by charging him.
Wrong.
I plowed through him, launching me in a buggy and this trench coated asshat off the cliffs into the sea. I swam out of my car to loot his lifeless, floating body then sauntered up the bank; the smug, soaked, wreckless murderer I always wanted to be.
I like to consider myself an average to above average gamer, not the best at every game but can usually hold my own however I am terrible at this game. I probably need a better strategy and being a COD player I am not used to games like this but I can not shoot at all! Any tips?
What sensitivity settings are you guys using? I watched a couple YouTube videos and lowered mine but still struggling.... even though I suck I do like the game.

Also, are we getting the new map? There is a 4.5 gig update! The game is only 5 gigs as is!
Anyone experiencing any rubberbanding since update? I only had time for one match since update and didn't seem to have any.
Honestly it isn’t the vehicles’ durability that is the issue. It’s the over abundance of fuel. Vehicles should start with considerably less fuel, and gas containers should fill less of the tank. As it stands, vehicles are a bit too much of a luxury for those who find them. Instead, they need to drive more player decision into risk versus reward scenarios. Making fuel more difficult to attain would force players into the choice of stopping and scavenging more often, placing themselves and their vehicle at risk from other players, or abandoning the vehicle when they run out of gas. Not to mention, they would have to manage their inventory much closer. Less fuel reserves would also limit their end game use, if not at least force them to stop for a refuel.
