I think Doom will be huge for VR actually. It attacks a different market than Skyrim, not quite as big, but powerful. I've been reading user reviews that its the best looking game on PSVR as well. Full locomotion with the DS4 or AIM.
 
As I've said, we get people like this daily, sometimes 2-3 newcomers posting on reddit about their first experience in VR. It's crazy to have all these people that are absolutely 100% blown the fvck away by the technology. It almost always exceeds expectations it seems.


 
Confirmation that Dreams is coming to PSVR (although after the release of the normal game).

They are both really good, but Superhot has more replay. It's better to play standing and move slowly.
 
I didn't realize until now that some PSVR games run above 60fps.

For example, Megaton Rainfall is 120fps.

Such a cool bonus to have playing games in VR, they don't look as good but holy hell are they smooth.

I have little idea of what it is going to be like in any form. All they showed a couple E3's ago pointed to something we have never before seen or been able to share with others. I would guess the hardest part of what they are doing is to make the creation process usable on simple yet deep scale. Once they have that licked then the players can take the game wherever they want a la Minecraft.

VR could be fantastic for both creators and followers. I am certainly in for that.

Interesting initiative. PSVR home trials, free to select PS+ subscribers. I didn't have a way of testing out PSVR before buying it, which put me off for a long time. This would've been a nice option -- try before buy. I think the offer is being emailed to select PS+ members, not everyone. It does require a $300 cc deposit/hold.

I wasn't reading most of the conversation about VR in its first year, but my impression was that there was a lot of negativity and skepticism around it. Seems to me that things are more positive now. As dead said, there's lots of people singing the praises of VR. Here's a recent resetera thread, full of praise for VR. I'll copy some of the responses, just to give a flavor.

It goes on like that for several pages.

That seems like a much more positive response than I've seen at, for instance, GAF. You still see the naysayers, but they seem like the minority now.

I was fvcking WRONG. It was before I tried VR though so I was one of those typical guys that "thought" I understood.
 
Tried the Bound demo. It was great to see that world in VR, but the camera kills it.

Tried some porn, too. I didn't realize until yesterday, but we can play YouTube VR content, including the VR porn, if you can find it. It was pretty intense. It feels like she's right there with you.

Downloaded The Playroom, so I'll try that out.

Playing Skyrim a lot, too. I haven't played a flat game since I started.

Try playroom VR, its free, more a party thing, but really a looker.

Yeah I heard porn was fvcking hot in VR with the added depth. Is the clarity good?
 


I don't see it blowing up like iPhones but... It's interesting to put this in perspective.

I love this game but only played it on Xbox without VR. Still keeping an eye on it to go on sale. I thought the non VR game was really amazing and in VR it could be even better.

Its f***ing incredible in VR. It's one of the showcase games I show to friends and family.

You are actually selling it short. Dangerous to play it by yourself as I have nearly danced my way through my television playing this. If this game was a ride at Disneyworld it would have a 3 hour long line every day of the week. Absolutely brilliant in VR.

Only played it in VR. Played it again this morning. Honestly, I can't imagine playing this game NOT in VR... Has you doing the Neo, big time!

We're getting another FPS. Gameplay later in the vid looks good, like Bioshock and Wolfenstein.

 
according to Sony they are gonna offer a bundle that comes with the headset, the camera, GT Sport and a new VR disc for 199 on Sunday I may have to jump at that one :D

There's some free update for farpoint ppl are raving about on reddit. Adds a bunch of PvP stuff.
