Multi-Platform Star Wars: Battlefront, putting the fun back into online shooters.

I really wish there was some kind of team chat. Its incredible how many players don't know that when you sprint you are pinging the enemies radar. I get red faced watching noobs sprint around the map dying over and over. I swear you can sit back and watch them run to their death over and over. My own team gets me killed more than anything, sprinting around me. Using the Scout trait in the 40p game modes will make you pull your hair out. It would be nice to be able to share that information with teammates. I stopped bothering with the Scout trait in 40p modes. I run the Bounty Hunter trait instead.

This is my #1 beef with the game. Has there been a recent mp shooter that didn't have it?

I see so much stupidity and with no voice chat there's no way to tell people what to do. In other games, at least a few people will listen. I see rebels completely ignoring laser turrets when the walkers are vulnerable. The empire players love to sit and camp with their T21s and never move. :smash:

I honestly don't know what some people are doing. I'm the worst pilot ever (usually end up killing myself). Yet I find some rounds I can fly around an empty sky. No enemies or teammates. Really?

I totally expect stupidity when playing with randoms on consoles, but this game brings a new low. You get a much better score by doing things right, so no idea why people are so hesitant to. I don't expect everyone to go nuts worrying about objectives, but this game is just silly sometimes.

I don't think the Most Kills stat should be shown at the end of objective based game modes either. These people who go 40-5 while their team gets their ass kicked in a 40p objective based game mode do not need to be glorified. Congratulations you laid back and shot fish in a barrel for 20mins, while your team lost. If a person only plays WA, or Supremacy and is proud of their amazing 10.0 K/D ratio then they are kidding theirself. Go 40-5 in Blast, Id be the first to tell you that youre a beast. Anybody can lay back and shoot the spawn, or camp the hero pick up and score easy kills the 40p game modes.

Downloaded the trial. It's a very fun game. It's not overly deep and it's not shallow. It's a proper balance. EA did well with it and the learned from the BF4 disaster as far as online goes. Props to EA.

This game is great fun on a 8 man fireteam, the DL-44 is such an OP weapon though. I two shot people sometimes. It needs a nerf.

I actually do better with the SE-14c or the EE3. They basically shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. The DL44 is tough one on one though. You run into someone with it alone and you are pretty much done.

The game is a friggin blast. I use the standard weapons. I don't have a need to upgrade. I may just have to buy it.

I'm assuming I can't level up across consoles if I end up getting a ps4?

Wow, haven't seen you get excited about a game in quiet awhile Plainview. I would be surprised if there are cross platform saves. Don't think I have ever heard of a game with that feature.

No cross platform save to my knowledge. EA are probably the only company that could do it and I have never seen it. When I sign into an EA game on my PS4 it's a different ID.

Yeah that feature is a dream right now but one I'd love to see eventually.

This is the best looking game on consoles, especially considering the framerate.

Game is fun but map rotation gets old quick, especially in the large modes with only four maps. The other modes are somewhat better because they feature two maps from each of the four available planets but you even then the scenery gets repetitive. Considering I've only played the 10 you ea access trial I cannot imaging how stale the maps must feel after a day.

You can tell the game is aimed at a large, casual audience beyond the core shooter crowed. Generous auto aim, pick ups instead of perks, no toxic voice chat, more survivability than COD, no blood and split screen all seem to say mom and dad, this is a game you should buy to play with you kids.

The game oozes Star Wars and the gameplay feels care free but if you come in looking to be rewarded for your battle field tactics or cod twitch skills you will probably be frustrated.

Overall I think its a fun game that makes you feel like you're in the movies. The modes are all inventive spins on classics and gameplay is mindless fun. The downsize is it feels Destiny-lite on content which is going to cost all those unexpecting parents. This isn't a $60 game this is a $120 game. No that we all have Destiny hindsight, the best thing you can probably do is sit the sidelines at launch, wait for the content and price to balance out and then jump in. Gamestop is already saying sales of this game were below expectations so expect some sales sooner than later.

The good thing about this game is it is playable solo. As someone who plays almost 100% solo for fps games, this game really works well. I can play an objective mode like walker assault and still do ok. Sure, some people are still idiots, but out of 10 teammates, usually a few have a brain.

It seems more often than not the selfish players end up losing. Was just playing as the rebels and one empire guy was riding around on the bike thing running people down. Good job... he had like 10 kills. Too bad we had both his walkers down by the 2nd set of uplinks though.

The only change I am demanding is the 44. That is close to making the game unplayable. It's way to OP, at pretty much anything but far distances, like people have said. It's bad. The effective range needs to be halved, at least, and the power dropped a little.

Yep DL44 is garbage. Right at launch there was an influx of it from Deluxe Edition people, but after the first couple of days I maybe see one person in a match using it. That said, right now my biggest complaint with the game is the horrible spawns. Playing Supremacy last night I was spawned within 10 feet of enemies on many occasions, and in one little stretch ended up being maybe three or four in a row. Only positive to this is sometimes it would spawn me looking at the back of the guy I just killed. And yes this was regular spawn and not partner spawn.

Guy watching missed the perfect opportunity to use the "I've got a bad feeling about this" emote.

I've changed my opinion on the DL44. It is just stupid overpowered. I hadn't been using it, but went back to it and it is like putting the game on easy mode. That is very shady to offer a super uber overpowered gun as a preorder bonus.
