Multi-Platform Star Wars: Battlefront, putting the fun back into online shooters.

Ive actually gotten to the point to where I can use everything fairly effectively. I managed to 3 star all of the training missions, as well as unlock the achievement for getting a win in every multiplayer mode. Doing this forced me to learn the various roles. I even got pretty deadly at flying after playing Fighter Squadron for awhile.

Anyone know how the radar works? I've read that if you stand still you don't show up. Lots of people have been crouching like Halo but not sure if you need to.

Based on one of the trait cards, I believe it's either when you run or shoot. The trait card Scout at level one says you don't show up while running, while level two says you don't show up while running or shooting.

It is 10 hours game time, but that counts time in the menu. Make sure you close out of the menu when done, as I'm not sure if it counts being in the menu in low power mode.

It's best to quit to the dashboard like you said. Next time a game comes out on Early Access I might test that out and see if uses up your time while its suspended rather than stopped.

The Scout trait can be hilarious. People generally rely heavily on the radar. Ive had instances where Ive ran willy-nilly through scores of enemy players beating them to death. That Jawa, shotgun similar, blaster was made for the Scout trait.

'Star Wars: Battlefront' Should Cost $20

I can’t recommend anyone but diehard Star Wars fans should buy Star Wars: Battlefront at $60. But I’d easily recommend it at $20, or maybe a bit more. Then, EA and DICE can sell them enough content to get them back up to $60 and above. I don’t know if that’s the nickel and diming people are always complaining about, but it feels more practical than cutting content from a $60 game and then selling it back to players for a $50 season pass.

I don't disagree with that really. I don't have a problem for what is included at $60. I'll get my money's worth. Another $50 for DLC is pretty steep though.

But then again... Star Wars.

At least the pass sounds like it will pretty much double the content so that is a saving grace.

Do we know when this DLC is coming out? I always hated how the DLC for COD was so spread out. The last map pack would land only a few weeks before the new game drops. If you are going to add DLC content, at least do it when the game is hot.

Im gonna try out a build today that sounds "good on paper". Im gonna try the Scout trait with the CA-87, impact grenade, and flashbang. If I could get the personal shield, I think this would be a great build for assaulting a group of enemy players. Sprint to location, pop shield, flashbang, impact grenade, then clean up with the CA-87. I really cant see a solo enemy player being able to stand up to this, at least not without some form of dumb luck. I don't have the flashbang yet, so I don't know how it effects teammates or the player using it. Got to test it first.

Is that so?

The last map pack for Advanced Warfare dropped 3 months before BO3 released on the XBOX consoles, and 2 months before release on the Sony consoles.
The last map pack for Ghosts dropped 3 months before Advanced Warfare released on the XBOX consoles, and 2 months before release on the Sony consoles.
The last map pack for Black Ops II dropped, oh, about two months and a week before Ghosts released on the XBOX consoles, and about one month and a week before release on the Sony consoles.
Modern Warfare 3 is a little tougher. The last DLC dropped 2 months before Black Ops II released on the 360, and 1 month before release on the PS3. Oh, and it wasn't spread out. You got DLC monthly.
The last map pack for Black Ops dropped roughly two months and a week before MW3 released on the 360, and 1 month and a week before it released on the PS3.
MW2? Last map pack (there were only two) released in June for the 360, and July for the PS3. You do the math.
World At War, last map pack released three months before MW2 dropped on the 360, and two months for the PS3.
As for COD4, that single map pack released in April for both consoles, so, again, you do the math.

Hardly "a few weeks before the new game drops" in any case.

And finally, COD is always hot. People like to trash the series, but those servers are always packed. Even on old games. They could release DLC for COD4 tomorrow and people would eat that s*** up.

Did pretty damn well in Drop Zone or whatever today. Played three or four matches and had at least a 3.0 K/D on each, including going 21-1 in one match. Scout trait is unstoppable. I can see where enemies are on the radar and then just flank the hell out of them trying to get the pod.

invite me next time

I've mostly been playing Walker Assault, Supremacy and Fighter Squadron, I really love this game. I know it's not the deepest etc but what it does have is a lot of fun and it's by far the most fun I've had playing a MP shooter in years.

I would say $40 would be a more fair price than $20, this is a licensed product so it's not like EA doesn't have to give some of the money to the owner of the IP. While I would have liked a little more content in the base game I don't mind paying $60 if the game is a quality title and I believe this one is. Of course I bought the ultimate edition so I spent the full $120 lol.

It's worth the $60 to me, at least at this point, but overall yea $40 would have been better given what is currently included. The good thing in my eye is with Blops 3 on rotation, both games are different enough that I can just spend some time with one game and then a bit with the other. Plus I just started up Splatoon again so I've got three unique games to keep me from getting bored with one.

I just unlocked the SE-14C and it is really underrated. Don't see many using it and I passed it over initially. It is really good at short - medium range. I actually like it better than the DL 44.

I'm still torn on getting the season pass. I just happen to have like $50 and change left in my MS account. Any idea when we'll get some idea of release dates on the DLC?

I want this game but cannot do it at the current $110 asking price. Yeah, I know that is including dlc, but given the shallow content of the base game plus the fact you almost need the maps to stay relavant with any online, mp shooter, you are doing gamers a disservice by regeritating the publisher marketing instead of talking about the TRUE price. Like a Mercedes ad stating prices start at $30k....which excludes almost everything of value outside of four wheels and an engine - that $30k is realy $40k. I am sure there are plenty with the $110 to spare and feel they are getting a good value but I cannot. I'm going to hold out for a price drop on premium edition or the game to come to vault.

Cancelled my pre-order as that beta was meh.

Here's hoping for EA Access in summer 2016.
