While the validity of random internet posters is certainly suspect, it is cause for concern when multiple gaming outlets have already had system failures. Giantbomb, Kotaku, IGN, and allegedly Polygon have all already had failed systems. It is a legitimate cause for concern when failures are this prevalent with so few systems in the wild.
that's the problem right there. the people who post news are the last people you want to have your console fail on. especially a new system with so few out in the wild.

Polygon had theirs crash into safe mode during their live stream. They were playing NFS when it happened.

Man, I can still remember those childish Sony ads after E3, what goes around comes around eh.

Oh, and preorder cancelled ;)

After hearing all these reports, it makes me glad MS made the decision they did regarding size of the box and how big of a fan they chose.
Yeah not so funny now! Glad MS have gone back to desktop fans in their box as opposed to Laptop, we 'should' see minimum to no over heating issues :D

Not something people should be happy with, but with any electronics manufacturing you are going to suffer from a small percentage of defects that slip through QC, that's just the nature of the game... I don't think there has been any electronics in existence that have had a 0% failure/defect rate.
You obviously have never heard of the Nokia Lumia 900.

I mean it''ll be cool to go into the generation with Games With Gold. This way there will hopefully be current games to own for free. I mean really, yeah free games are free but when you're giving away games that most people don't have an interest in then what's the point?

I'm hoping we'll be able to pick up some cool new games this time around.

So PS4s failing at launch was the mind blowing announcement that Kojima hyped? Color me disappointed.
LOL...but really guys, let's curb the PS4 failure talk in here. I know some are framing it toward X1 and hoping it doesn't have the same issue but karma works both ways and comes from all directions. Celebrating PS4 failures is immature and could get some negative Karma swinging back your way....just sayin'.

Great news on GWG moving on to X1!!! Fantastic. Thanks for that one Sony :).

Also great to hear about Fable Legends....looks like a blast, Dungeon Master style! Can't wait to see some real in-game footage!

GWG coming to XB1 is great news, now of only they bring decent games it will be even better.

Just heard a rumour that Microsoft just outright bought TitanFall. As in no TitanFall 2 for PS4.

Still trying to get a good source though (until I do, take it with a HUGE grain of salt)

I'm sad to hear of the Failures as well. To be honest I was wondering about this ever since they announced the power brick would be inside the unit. Couple that with it's small size, and it wouldn't surprise me if it becomes an issue. Hopefully it's just the usual assembly line rejects...

I wouldn't be surprised - nor would I be surprised that this title ultimately runs either @ 900p or 1080p. It will be the only "killer" app out of all next-gen systems for the foreseeable future.

Destiny looks like killer app potential (but it is multiplatform).

First post:

Watching The Verge podcast, and Chris Grant (Polygon EIC) just stated Microsoft bought Titanfall outright. One of the other hosts seemed to question this claim, and the EIC repeated "Titanfall 2 is not coming to PS4".

Yep, that's where I heard it. Although I didn't actually hear him say it myself, so the person who posted might have misinterpreted (like he was only speaking of the first).

Rumor shut down.

Then again, not even Zampella knew last time, lol.

Maybe they bought publishing rights from EA Partners for the franchise? That at least would be consistent with the guy's statement that MS bought Titanfall outright, inasmuch as it couldn't be published elsewhere, without having control over the IP. Or it could be a misunderstanding, which might well be true. Firm believer in the "we'll see when we see" about stuff like this.

No! We must know BEFORE it's official!
