Which 4K HDR TV are you planning to buy for Scorpio or One s?

LOL those TV's are terrible.
Last years Samsungs were better.

Yeah for gaming they are okay but I wouldn't buy the QLED, it's marketing BS and there are better overall sets out there for less. This isn't MS's first time teaming up with Samsung either, they did it when the 360 came out and they used Samsungs in all of the in store kiosks alongside promoting them a bit.

Can't wait to see what LG has in store for 2018 OLEDs, I'm going to upgrade to a 65". My C6 will go in the bedroom. Cant do LEDs horrible blacks and off axis degradation.

They were good in the 360 days.

I love the the OLEDs. However when I was up at Best Buy the other day I was as not in awe of the picture like I was previously. They might have the best picture on the market but I was struck by how much brighter the new LEDS are.

Brighter doesn't equal better. All TVs in a store are in the demo vivid mode, which look pretty good in a brightly lit showroom.

Yeah they don't stand out like they used to, especially when you look at some of the really good high end sets like the Sony Z9D, I still think overall they have the best looking colors and clarity though, they really stand out compared to LED's when viewed off center. Brightness matters most for HDR but I think OLED's are still adequately bright, they just don't match what the best LED's can do.

The high end LED's are significantly brighter than OLED's and brightness does matter with HDR and bright rooms.

But some LED's have bad viewing angles.

Pay day next Friday so think I'll get my new tv then

Did you end up picking up a new tv?

I mad the big mistake of looking at what costco in the USA has to offer in comparison to Canada...I cant believe how cheap tv's are in the US i may need to take a road trip

Well tv hasn't arrived. Didnt mind at first but then the member of staff serving me annoyed me by talking blatant s***.

Apparently
Your items should be ready for you from…
9:00am on Tuesday 5 September
We’ll let you know when it’s arrived and ready for you to collect
Pop in by…
8:00pm on Wednesday 6 September
We’ll hold onto your items until then

Doesn't mean the item should be in by 9am Tuesday but it will come in Tuesday night so I can pick up on Wednesday..... I was fine till she lied and tried to treat me like as idiot and then to make it better it's now saying the tv isn't currently available.

I don't usually complain but she lied and so on so yeah.

Just got a message saying my tv is in and i have till 8pm today to collect it... So not only do they send the message an hour and 24 minutes after that time but the store is now closed.

Right got my 4k HDMI cable as well.

Any sites that suggest the ideal picture settings? Already switched off the 'soap opera' effect

Such a tough decision between the Vizio XLED and the TCL. $500 difference for 10" more. TCL is better performing, Vizio is bigger and about 80% of the TCL. Decisions, decisions.....
