wow thank god i preordered on amazon yesterday while waiting for shopto, cause this morning shopto is sold out and so is amazon!

I think Plainview should have a special thread or something for release day and we can all talk about the console on that day. I am moist just thinking about it.

That reminds me, I have to take launch day off. Although maybe I should take the day after launch off. Who knows when the thing actually gets delivered.

You know what, I am confused. There is no SAME DAY option on Amazon as I look at my order.
 
Has anyone here ever ordered a console from the Microsoft store before ? Do they ship on release day or ahead of release day so you get it on release day ?

I did with the original day one Xbox one. It was waiting on my front porch when I got home from work, on launch day.

-Improved Volumetric Lighting
-Improved Shadow Detail
-Improved Screen Space Reflections
-Upgraded Dynamic Foliage (PS4/XBO are @ medium before)
-Enhanced Geometric Structures (Tessellation?)
-Improved Anisotropic Filtering

That's a hell of an upgrade.

Yep, got my launch X1 from them. The only issue was that they took the credit card I used to order it and put it on my Xbox Live account. I prefer to use gift cards and not have my credit card right on my account. Kind of annoying.

I didn't get my launch X1 until almost 8pm that day, but I think that was UPS and not MS. My house is typically the last on UPS's route.

The game was already one of the best looking games this gen. THAT IS SICK DUDE. I played THE #$@# out of this game and 100% it. I will now 200% it.

I'd pay it all off at once... but I don't want my wife to stab me....

I figure I'd put in about 50 bucks per pay-period to spread the impact out a bit. That way, I'll only have to 200 on launch day... Hmm, maybe 75 per pay-period...

Gotta love those comments. Dev releases a massive FREE upgrade for a game if you own it already- and people bitch. wow. "I can't believe you are working on this instead of a new game!"...Friggin' gamers...

Haha I totally get the making payments thing, especially if you have a significant other that you have to answer to. I used to do that all the time and probably still should. It's kind of silly to throw $550 into something all at once if you don't really have to, I just know with my luck if I had the extra money sitting around I'd end up having to use it on something else so doing it this way keeps that option off of the table.

I definitely get that. It's not an issue of affordability, really, more a situation of having as little impact on my budhet as possible.
