TD, I don't want to be insensitive...but you bipolar bro?

If not, you might need a break from gaming. Nobody should be this stressed out over plastic that cost a few hundred dollars.

Far from stressed out. Nothing wrong with wanting better. Microsoft can do better. They know that, and they will. E3 is going to be lights out. I had a dream last night that this will be Microsoft's best E3 this decade.

If anything, i'm excited for what the future holds. As long as they bring back Fable and have a new IP i'll be good. It's because of critical fans like myself that Scorpio even exists in the first place. You're welcome.

Nah, it's just whatever big gulp Cumby's has on tap, blue drank or green drank...

Because plenty of people prefer to game on console. The PC argument has always been a fanboy argument. If we wanted to game there, we already would. It's a wholly different animal.

And strangely enough TD is one of those people. Or at least seems to be.

That's all i've been saying since day one but people keep putting words in my mouth. Like my opinion doesn't matter because i prefer PS4, lol. I don't think Sea of Thieves or Crackdown 3 are going to tip the scale for Microsoft. It's just how i feel. They need to have more, and if they don't they're in big trouble.

Big Trouble? Is the sky falling yet? Because the Xbox One STILL is out performing the 360 YTD in sales. And stop continually masking this argument with phony concerns over Microsoft's future in the console industry. It's not even necessary. Everyone here already KNOWS what role you play in this forum. So with that understanding it's really not necessary to keep shouting fire in the theater. We get it, from your perspective if MS doesn't do certain things just right then all roads lead to the end of the Xbox platform brand.

Well in a world where people still think Sony and Nintendo should close up shop when they've done as well if not much better than Microsoft in recent years you see where the discussion comes from. If it was cool to debate why there was supposedly going to be no PS4 this gen or why Nintendo should have gone third party a long time ago i think it's perfectly reasonable to debate the same when it comes to Microsoft. Or is a trillion dollar company not subject to criticism?

That's not what i was trying to say at all though. I was thinking more along the lines of, if Microsoft doesn't step it up they will never beat Sony and they'll only make 30 billion yearly instead of the 50 billion they could be making or whatever. Certainly not the sky falling, but food for thought. Let's not beat around the bush here. People do take these things seriously, and i'm not one of them. Guys like astrograd left the internet because of Microsoft's missteps this generation. Sometimes i just like to debate on the other side of the fence. Nobody else is doing it, so why not. Sorry if that bothers you.

Why are you talking about this in this thread?
Take it to the VS threads.

Not really, there have been perfectly reasonable discussion as to why gamers believe the above would close up shop (or go 3rd party)

Nintendo has left the console business now (as predicted) and is releasing more and more games on cellphone (as predicted) and Sony (as a whole) teeters on the precipice of collapse with the Cell, Blu-Ray, TV, Laptop dreams destroyed with their film division to follow now Bond and Spiderman have moved on...they're also releasing PS4 games on PSNow...a $400M investment for games without hardware.

Point of note, PS3's failure is directly responsible for all of the above, plus the death of Robin Williams.

MS launched an expensive underpowered system and it's still their best/fastest selling console ever...and it's still just a hobby for Satya. The man bought Skype and Linkedin on a whim.

Look at Xbox - Highly profitable. Look at MS: Ludicrously profitable. The hope for haters is that Amazon buys Xbox (despite Halo and Minecraft alone exceeding their market cap) or that MS "spins off" the Xbox division.. which means nothing at all.

It's really about money. Money = time and as you said MS is a trillion dollar company. They have eternity to act. There is no timeline where MS X-Box isn't the last man standing. It's a war of attrition and time favours immortals.

Pretty much what I've thought all along, 3rd party devs who have higher end engines on PC will be able to push past pro easy.

Head of Xbox China on Project Scorpio: ‘this year’s E3 will blow your mind’

Xie Enwei talks about the upcoming Project Scorpio console and its VR/MR possibilities.

Microsoft recently announced that the launch of the upcoming Xbox One ‘upgrade console’ currently known by the code-name Project Scorpio would be getting an official launch in China later this year. The head of Xbox China spoke about some of the plans Microsoft had for the console.

Speaking to 2P.Com, Xie Enwei discussed the price point of Project Scorpio and the integration of mixed reality (MR) and virtual reality (VR). Enwei said that most Xbox One games, weather they are from first or third-party studios, can be ported to Project Scorpio within 48 hours: “That surprised a lot of developers,” said Xie Enwei.

Discussing the MR and VR support, Enwei teased that Windows 10, in conjunction with Project Scorpio might just see support for the upcoming MR/VR headsets that are being made in partnership with OEM companies such as Acer, HP and Lenovo. Since Window 10, Xbox One and Project Scorpio share much of the same architecture and underlying coding, this make their integration much easier. Enwei said: “The connection of Project Scorpio, Window 10 and MR provides lots of possibilities, what we will see in this year’s E3 will blow your mind.”

Project Scorpio will be a 4K gaming console, with Forza 6, Call of Duty WW2, Red Dead Redemption 2 and the new FIFA title among others already promoting their 4K support. The console will have a 6TFLOPs GPU an 8-core Jaguar CPU, 12GB of GDDR2 memory, a 4K blu-ray drive and a 1TB hard drive.

A price point for Project Scorpio has not yet been set, but Enwei said that Xbox are trying their best to give consumers a favourable price.

I am not ready for this kind of power.

Soooooooo, Forza 6 confirmed for 4K patch, upon release?

I hope do that game is still hot.
The breadth of "care" for previously released games is a mystery right now. Some people will not care about this, but I think it's a pretty big deal... especially if they add higher quality assets. It's essentially like getting a remaster for free. I mean, if smaller devs even charged like $5 for an add-on, I think that's pretty fair. For trip A devs though, usually these assets already exist for PC.
