Xbox One X

Was no one listening when Spencer said that Scorpio would mimic Xbox One's framerates for community consistency? This is not news. Has nothing to do with sony being the market leader.

Mimic? Like that interpol...whatever that tech is called?
Where they hide the frames?
I think people are (miss)quoting Microsoft Studios GM: Shannon Loftis, and passing it off as Phil Spencer?

While resolution will most certainly be higher on Scorpio, we can't report the same for frame rate. [Shannon] Loftis says that developers will continue to choose frame rate to fit their gameplay design, and that might not be unlocked or even 60 frames per second. We asked specifically whether there will be different frame rates for the same game running on Xbox One and Scorpio. "No, there wouldn't be a frame rate difference, because typically the frame rate is determined by the game developer and what's right for the gameplay mechanic," Loftis explains. "You don't necessarily want to create two different mechanics for two different configurations."

I'm not sure why people are getting confused.

Step up your game. Already debunked 2 days ago. Nothing to see here.

Well i'm sure in most cases developers will want to take advantage of the hardware but Destiny 2 is already setting the precedent. That if it's a hassle to get games running at 4k/60fps then devs are likely to go the 4k/30fps route. Let's hope devs go the extra mile and don't settle for being on par with what the Pro can offer.

This video sums up what i was saying all along and i hope it works out that Microsoft really changed their tune and Scorpio will have exclusive games eventually.

12 f***ing minutes, repeating the s*** he said in the first minute.

I swear, half the idiots who make YouTube videos need a good fisting each time they repeat themselves.

The grandeur of hyperbole is seldom penetrating.

Either way, his logic is a bit of a "No s***, Sherlock" type situation.

They have always said that first party games would have MP parity, and that they wouldn't mandate it for third party. I remember this from a year ago. I remember talking about it in this forum. People have either poor memories or bad comprehension.

They have both.

Not sure about that. Everything is still up in the air. It's okay to ask questions when they expect consumers to potentially drop $600 on a console. Right now, i'm just not feeling Microsoft's vision for Scorpio and the Xbox brand. I've been going back and forth on which console i want to purchase this Fall and i think i've finally made my decision. It's the PS4 Pro. Then again, it's always been the PS4 Pro. I tried to be unbiased but i just couldn't do it. Better games, best place to play.

Please. People should just friggin' wait until the official reveal at E3. Everyone talking about how it will be this or that. Speculation. You shouldn't make any decision until you get real info. MS is not going to talk about it until then, and people are talking out their asses.

Save your feelings until afterward. Getting disappointed, and trying to project your or others theories onto at this point is stupid.

Recent Sega news has been eye catching. Both MS and Sega are sitting on a gold mine of IP's. Both have recently stated they want to up their publishing game. MS is struggling outside the US and Sega could use the boost in the west. There has to be some common ground interest there. Sega is interesting because they are one of only a handful of Japanese publishers that have IP's that can appeal worldwide including Japan and the west.

Lol, which is it? Were you going back and forth, or was it always the PS4 Pro?

We have real info though. Scorpio will be at the very least, $100 more than the Pro. It's using similar checkerboard 4K techniques like the Pro due to the CPU being a bottleneck in both consoles. Then the games? What really matters.. the games just aren't there. Yeah, Microsoft might have one or two surprise new IPs or franchise revival games like Fable but ask yourself. Is that enough?

For me, it's never enough. I love Halo, Gears, and Forza but they need to take a new direction with their first party studios. Sony could have easily told Guerrilla we don't want a new IP we want more Killzone but they let their devs take chances. Think of all the amazing games we could have had from Rare at this point but Microsoft continues to misuse them. Sea of Thieves might be a great game, but it's not what the masses are looking for. Crackdown 3 will be fun for awhile, then once the awe of the cloud based physics wear off what's left? Just a shell of an experience. Where are the big story based games at?

Not trying to go too off topic here so we'll leave it at that. I'm sure Sasquatch will take the thread completely off the rails and i'll take the blame for it for wearing blue but whatever. What can you do.

Where's the "real" info though? Your entire post is made up of opinion and speculation. There is nothing actionable in it at all. Do you work in media journalism?

What? There hasn't been a single game even rumoured to use checkerboarding yet. Hell, there is more to that particular technique than people think as evidenced that so few Pro games use it.

We don't know jack about Rare and SoT, let alone Crackdown. Everything you have is CONJECTURE, and even then, there is a lot of positivity about SoT despite the very limited Beta exposure. You are believing what you want to believe. Full stop.

You don't know how MS does things behind the scenes. All of this is garbage speculation.
