So we should expect to see some form of parity then between the 4 and the 1?

being a MS advertising exclusive I expect MS to send there best engineers out to help xbox get close to ps4 as possible like the did with destiny.

I also have Kinect but that seems....well impossible if you actually play games. I play around 10 hours a week on average and have to charge mine around every 2 weeks or so. I'd estimate around 20-25 hours per charge (play and charge kit). This is a bit better than the 360 in my experience as that was maybe 15 or so per charge.

Ok...you know, I think I might be off a couple..but I know I never charge my controllers more than once every couple months, and yes I use it daily.

I don't know if this is normal...but...

It was 10:10 in the evening when the controller was fully charged with the P&C kit. It was 3:10 in the morning when i saw that one bar of the battery icon was already gone. No way in hell is this going to last 24 hours in total or more.....

Oooooh ok. I thought people were talking about that one when they said they had it in November and so far only had to charge a few times? They were talking about rechargable batteries? i am to buy rechargables in the future, what things must i pay attention to?

I use the play and charge kit and maybe have to charge mine about once a week. Yours sounds faulty to me. There is no way it should be empty in 5 hrs. I'd bring it back to the shop. You shouldn't have to put up with that.

No don't get me wrong on that. It was 5 hours and then one bar had gone from the battery pack icon. I am gonna game now, and i'll check again how long until it's completely empty. I do have to mention that i game a lot on a daily basis, many hours. How many hours a day in a week would you say that you have the controller on and playing games?

I agree, even though the official battery pack only holds 2000 mAh it shouldn't be empty after only 5 hours.

Get a warranty replacement

My eneloop AA's hold the charge for a very long time, I'll say 30 - 40 hours of gaming. And I always got some extra eneloops fully charged ready.

Official battery packs DO last that long (that is what I currently have). But I will have your recommended batteries next week for my other controller as well :) I should have asked, will the official play and charge kit charge the Eneloops, or will I have to use the charger that is coming with my new batteries?

I feel momentum is going to swing to xbox next month. PS4 peeked early with destiny. They got what drive club for rest of year?

Xbox one has starting end of month with forza horizon 2, than sunset overdrive, followed by the big guns, halo MCC and exclusive advertising with COD.

Next we have halo 5 & fable beta's.
Witcher 3 & The Division advertising.

xbox one has a strong 6 months ahead of them.

/xbox praise :)

It will be interesting to see if people still see exclusive content as more or less meaning the game is virtually exclusive like a lot of people made out with Destiny. I mean fifa has the exclusive legends on X1 so will these people be saying buy X1 for the extra content. Same goes with CoD map packs, exclusive content for the Division, Evolves beta and so on. I think we all know the answer to that.

I guess that must be it man, cause what you say sounds incredible. I wish i had that too.

Anyway....

How long does it usually take for the battery to be fully charged with the P&C kit? The last days it took like two hours to fully charge, i'd see the white light on the charge cable but now after 3 or 4 hours the light stays orange. I have been extensively playing Destiny while it was charging though, but yesterday i was playing games too....so what the hell? I swear...if this thing is already dying on me, i will never buy a P&C kit again. So many died on me with 360.

A friend of mine said...if you play a game while it is charging it is going to take longer, makes sense...except that it is tsking much much longer than yesterday. :(
Eneloop XX charge in 2 hours 4 batteries included that has 2500mAh battery vs 600-1200mAh for play and charge kit (depends if you got a cheap one from amazon or official one)

Charging while playing is a bad idea, it'll eat half of your charge capacity within 6 months.

All batteries have number of recharge cycles so while playing and charging at same time you are constantly using up those cycles as it's not set number of full charges, but instead if you deplete battery 1% and recharge that's one cycle.

For 360 I had Nyko battery charge station with 2 batteries that were bigger and better than MS one, for x1 I'd get that again but they don't have it and to me having to have the whole controller on the base to charge is pointless.

Flockers came out recently and im interested but the price i dont know about_I wanted a 3d worms (played that a bit on 360 couch vs) instead of that 2d one that came out a while back.

Official battery is 1400mAh battery and eneloop xx are 2500mAh so there's no way that it'll have same playtime when one has twice the capacity.

Also eneloop will hold 90% charge after one year vs up to 70% of other batteries. That's why everyone loves them.

I wasn't saying they had the same play time. I was stating that the official batteries are at the 30-40 hours of gaming mark. If the eneloops are as good as they sound, I would get 50-70 hours of gaming with them then. Which is great.

Kvally: Yes, you have to use the supplied charger. Regarding hours of play, the eneloops will last longer than the official battery pack.

Good advice. I guess i should make sure to charge it when i go to sleep. Man ever since i got the Xbox One i been putting crazy hours into gaming. It wasn;t like this with 360. I love the Xbox One. I probably should buy some batteries so i can use those when the battery pack needs recharging. I am sure not anytime soon will my gaming hours lessen, especially with games like Forza Horizon 2 on the horizon, see what i did there?, and Dragon Age...oh my.

Jesus christ i am getting tired of the Network problem errors in Destiny now and i have to wonder...is it because my NAT is at Moderate and sometimes Strict or is this simply the game? Yesterday all day...NO problems and the NAT was Moderate. It's just horrible now..it's at Strict all the time now.

I did ALL i can to open the NAT. I gave the X1 a static IP, i gave my PC a static IP as well, cause portforward.com said i had to do that. I opened all the ports but THEN came this ridiculous bulls***...apparently my Davolink DV 2020 modem router cannot open port 80, and that one IS needed for Xbox One. Wow.........just wow. So yeah i have to cope with Strict now. :( I am lost when it comes to this.

Is there anyone with knowledge of this here? Cause i have no idea what to do anymore. It sucks that this modem router doesnt have UPNP...it is terrible.

yeah its a NAT problem. its very touchy, i had open yet i still got errors until i opened specific ports in my router.. ever since it has been near non existent (i had it one or twice in the last week

Does it have a firewall you can disable ? If so disable it. I found with an old router and the 360 that I could not get full open NAT till I did that.

NAT should be Open, anything less you will have problems with multiplayer, Live and chat. Check if you router has Upnp and enable it, or set a static IP address for your xbox and manually configure port forward for these ports to your Xbox One IP address.

http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/networking/network-ports-used-xbox-live

  • Port 88 (UDP)
  • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 80 (TCP)
  • Port 500 (UDP)
  • UDP Port 3544 (UDP)
  • UDP Port 4500 (UDP)
If you don't know how to do this, let us know the make of your router and someone here could help.

I've played Destiny a lot, and there have been no problems, no disconnecting.
Could it be your set-up ?

Also go into network settings, advanced then do mac address clone and then you should see an option to reset network settings if you do that it could help.

In your router you should have an option called DMZ which exposes all ports for a specific ip. Or there should be an option to select a device and have all the ports opened to it.

Also make sure to clear all the port forwarded things if doing dmz or selecting device to be exposed. Know that only one ip can have one specific port open, you can't forward port 80 to eg. 192.168.1.101 and to 192.168.1.103

This is why people love Linksys as it makes all these things very simple and easy to do
