and this is why ppl should keep their mouths shut when it comes to talking bad about another console and its games. This just gave Sony fanboys ammo to throw at the X1.

I don't care if games were at 720p. I just want the Devs to push the graphics and show some thing amazing.

It's kinda funny all the back and forth arguments I've been hearing. Months ago, before we knew anything about what resolution next gen would be, TXBers were saying 1080p wasn't important, they were ok with 720p/30 fps. Then, they started seeing some games and were told 1080p, and they used that to bash against PS4, because now it's important. Now that we're hearing that many games are sub 1080p, it's not important again.

It's like the arguments that 360 had better multiplats over PS3, it's important....the new GTA is better on PS3, not important anymore.

With that said, a good game is a good game, regardless of the resolution...but nevertheless, it IS disappointing. $500 bucks plus monthly LIVE costs is a bit much to swallow for games that aren't even running at today's standard resolution.

To be honest I feel like I've been transported back to 2006 but now the roles have reversed :/

Sad really, who realy cares. So its a weaker system, but are the games fun!?!??
And in this day and age who owns one console or has that type of loyalty?

No doubt. It's just funny how hypocritcal many are. Depending on what game looks better and on what system....it matters, other times, it doesn't matter. it's laughable seeing how some of the arguments have changed over the past few months.
 
FACT: Wind Waker HD will be 1080p at 60fps

Wii U beats both XB1 and PS4.

Edit: Back on the topic of Ryse, I doubt most would be able to notice the difference.
 
the GAF forum on this 900p is really hilarious......really hilarious.....it actually reminds me of the old 48K vs C64 debates in School (its all about the Graphics and the RAM)....lol........the winner in this generation will be not what is the most powerful machine (which is still open for debate) but what is considered to be cool tech....... Microsoft are doing something different here, they have the core audience in the bag (user base) and now they are bringing convergence tech under the TV.....Games like RYSE which no one can say does not look simply stunning is 1st Gen on new hardware and it looks this good.......I can't wait to play it.....

it is hilarious....but just as hilarious as the XB1 fanboys here claiming the Xb1 was better due to 1080p/60 fps games, you know, the XB1 fans that were using that to gloat over PS4 fans. Now the PS4 fans have something to gloat over, and they're hilarious.

Fans from both sides constantly bashing the other are hilarious. seriously, pot calling kettle black.
 
I have no problems conceding strict hardware numbers to PS4. It sucks that Xbox One doesn't have awesome specs, but it was a given that neither system would live up to high end PC specs.

To be fair the only fanboys on here who were touting XB1 as being the place to get 1080P exclusives were TDBank and Intellivision. In fact Intellivision's sig as recently as last week at Teamxbox was literally: "Smart Match, Rep System, Cloud, HDMI in, 1080p/60fps exclusives, 4k gaming, better headset, acts as dev kit: Only on Xbox One."

Kind of an embarrassing sig now that the PS4 has more launch games running at 1080P than the XB1.

Yeah the fight needs to be which console specs suck less. Then no, no, no that console's specs suck just as hard with no visual difference in the suckage.
 
I have a feeling as developers become more familiar with the hardware, and are able to do more with less, we'll see more 1080p games and 60fps in the future.

Right now, we're comparing rushed out launch games.

I "think" I know what your point is, but needless to say, I stand by what I say. It's quite funny seeing xbox fans, and not necessarily you, just fans in general, bash places like GAF for doing the same exact thing.
Now, granted, I don't go to GAF, so I don't know how bad they are, but I have been part of TXB for years....and honestly, what I've seen from xbox fanboys have been pretty laughable as well.

Because Sony fans never ran with their mouths right? Christ they've been doing it since Feb. So we cant take a stance to weed their fud and say nice things about the X1? Nice selective thinking you have there.

Its not a bad place, ya just need to ride out your time as a junior flying under the radar.

After that as long as you don't break cardinal sins (porn, racism etc..) you can post with out to much fear.

Then again..I'm still on a 2 week ban till Friday lol.

I've been banned 3 times. All for making little jokes about Vita. I mean par for the course right. Its a forum with lots of sarcasm and skepticism,so lots of joking humor there then. Mods are on a witch hunt though. Ive seen others get away with mocking consoles by spreading lots of fud. Yet are given free passes. if you speak too loudly about their chosen console in a negative way, you'l seen be put on their watch listl. Its not a good forum. Put it this way. Its the only forum where Ive ever been banned and I've been on the net since 1997. Overall, Gaf doesn't have a thick skin if you question their pro Sony threads.

Gaming side is always a cemetery, I never touch it unless I'm asking a question or talking with a group like FIFA FUT I game with.
I stay in OCD, less "strict" but dangerous unless you have a very progressive liberal opinion on things on most subjects.

Yeah,not a bad idea. Love the sports threads there. You can talk and not have to worry about mods with an itchy trigger finger. Stll debating whether I should go back once my ban is liften in late Septmber. Love the gaming stuff(when peope are kept in check by the mods) but lately its really gone down hill. It gets tiring reading so much negativity. Its reached new levels.
 
The whole 1080p/900p discussion is ridiculous - before we even knew it people were stunned watching the (upscaled) 1080p footage on their HDTVs - and despite numerous public viewings noone even realized...

Plus: I'm accepting sub-1080p with thanks with all those graphical effects going on - if you have seen the technical slides from that Ryse presentation you know there's no other X1 (and PS4) game on that level.
