Who are those people? I don't think anyone active here is on my ignore list so... ?
What you have seen is irrelevant. So just stop.
Mainly SpartanDawgX1 and Hedon here.
Spartan starts off fine with this:

Then suddenly brings in Halo? Not sure why. Insecure much?

Says Halo looks fine but then goes and downplays Horizon's visuals. It's fine if you're not in awe but to say it's a not next-gen game when it's one of the most next-gen looking titles out there? That's definitely an eyebrow raiser. Notice Hedon agrees here.

Hedon says Halo looks beautiful but downplays Horizon's visuals by saying "it looks good for a cross gen game". From what we've seen from both, Horizon looks a generation ahead.

Here's where they really start to get rolling. From visuals discussion to sales to gameplay, you name it.

Spartan is now so tilted he says he would rather save his what, maximum 50GB worth of data over buying/downloading Horizon? That gave me a good laugh.

Not sure where Hedon got this from since Halo Infinite and HFW aren't even out yet, lol, but looks like his mind's already made up either way so it probably wouldn't even matter if HFW was the best thing since sliced bread.

Don't see anyone saying Halo looks better than Horizon, which is what you said earlier.
And better art design. All those grey pillars aren't really going to light anyones pants on fireI don't think the discussion was supposed to be a referendum of 343/Halo Infinite, but the fact that people generally are still bothered by the visuals tells me they need to try something new graphics wise.
Probably, but people need to stop the hyperbole on both sides. Like I said before, Forbidden West pushing boundaries early on is for the best for everyone. Competition yields progress. You can only polish a turd so much.
If they had more time or scrapped what was shown and started over(losing xbo support would help)
What is likely is they throw better details on top of what's been shown and going by the constant update pics they keep posting...that's exactly what is happening.
I don't think they should be showing anything until E3 and I guarantee xbotz will praise it's visuals regardless.
I don't have to stop lol I am not the one that started it to begin with but the fact is that is what they showed us so until they show something else that's what's out there to represent their game. Maybe in a couple of weeks we'll see something new. It's not going to be a huge difference from what we saw before though, no game ever changes that much with just a 12 month delay. Hopefully they'll show something that takes place at night so the weapon colors pop more on screen and some weather effects are going on etc and it'll look totally different from the last time even if not technically that much better.Makes no difference. Halo has not released. We have not seen any gameplay since the delay. Those are facts. You have nothing to compare to, so, stop.
Horizon is totally open world halo is the one that's semi open world lol. and I'm not sure how "semi" that actually is, the people at 343 don't seem to know how to answer the question in a uniformed way. One is asked if it's open world and responds "it's somewhere between what we've done before and open world" then goes on to say it's the biggest one they've done but neither Halo 4 or 5 had particularly long campaigns and the actual playable areas were much smaller than the bungie made games especially Halo 4.Also, comparing an okay semi open world game series with outstanding graphics with Halo... f*** off lol
The PS5 is not being "maximized to it's fullest" in a 1st year cross-gen game but the fact that it's looking as good as it does this early is a credit to GG . Neither the PS5 or XSX are going to be pushed to their limit in the first few years and even when we think they have been devs are still going to find ways to impress us just as they always do.Halo is what it is at this point. I’m content with what was revealed and any upside to a year of polishing is a added bonus. Halo is certainly not next gen and a reflection of the power of upgraded hardware though. Horizon is also not a next gen game but is a great example of a console punching above its weight as developers maximize its hardware to its fullest.
Come on, read between the lines.
Hedon saying Halo looks beautiful with an emoji and then saying Horizon looks good for a cross-gen game shows it all.
Spartan saying the game doesn't look next-gen then says Halo looks fine.
It's all there.
Wouldn't be surprised if you don't see it since you're only here to take jabs at Sony too.
Competition is severely lacking though.Probably, but people need to stop the hyperbole on both sides. Like I said before, Forbidden West pushing boundaries early on is for the best for everyone. Competition yields progress.

I always felt they would have got more of a pass on the graphics if the overall demo was more impressive. Could have been pandemic related but they didn't even have to do a demo if they weren't able to showcase the game in a better way. Just do a trailer if you need to.
One thing I'm wondering about - not an excuse especially for Halo since that's MS' own doing, but... what are they demoing and using for dev kits? PCs. What graphics are in the XSX? RDNA 2 with RT cores. How many RDNA 2 graphics cards with RT cores have been released so far? Zero. Might be similar for Sony as well - and it may have been smarter for them to show pre-renders of stuff coming in a couple of years and then focus gameplay on Ratchet (which is their SSD showpiece without need for RT) and GT.
Just a thought that hit me. I think both companies are going to struggle getting the most out of the GPUs at launch and for some ramping up time afterward. Only one decided to go with a Halo-class game at launch, though, and that may end up being a strategic mistake. (Don't tell Shaun I said any of this.)
Yeah the open world Horizon games shouldn't look much better than the linear Halo Infinite. Also, comparing an okay semi open world game series with outstanding graphics with Halo... f*** off lol
So one saying "fine" and one thinking two screenshots are better is now basically saying that Halo is better visually than Horizon? Are you, maybe, and I mean this respectfully, reading a little more into it than what was actually said? You can't possibly in seriousness believe that argument is any less of a straw man than
What Xbox fans? LolSome Xbox fans just can't accept that fact or refuse to.
I can accept the fact that Halo's MP aspect will probably dwarf Horizon because that's not Horizon's focus. Just like certain people should accept the fact that Horizon will dwarf Halo in the visuals aspect. Halo will never be on the same level graphics wise as Horizon. The SP will probably also be better on Horizon because again that's their focus. Sony's signature. Great visuals and gameplay combined with an amazing single player story experience.
Xbox fans just need to cope with that.
I never said anything about halo being open world.Horizon is totally open world halo is the one that's semi open world lol. and I'm not sure how "semi" that actually is, the people at 343 don't seem to know how to answer the question in a uniformed way. Halo never was a looker, well, except CE. Halo is known for its gameplay and lore, horizon looks great..... That's it.Yeah the open world Horizon games shouldn't look much better than the linear Halo Infinite.
You got it backwards bro
Halo's lore has been severely lacking since Bungie left. Gameplay is debatable altough going by review scores/sales I am guessing most aren't as satisfied.Halo never was a looker, well, except CE. Halo is known for its gameplay and lore, horizon looks great..... That's it.
