No it's 2 years it says it at the end of the latest trailer.

It says at the bottom "also coming to PC, console exclusivity ends 2 years after launch"

I'll get it on PS5 since I think it looks pretty cool. But these types of exclusives are annoying.

Elder Scrolls 6 confirmed Xbox exclusive:

Microsoft’s acquisition was helped by an unofficial partnership stretching back to 2002. Bethesda develops its games with Xbox as its lead console platform. And by securing such a strong conveyor of new games, Spencer has managed to spread his bets beyond a small but storied cluster of top tier franchises in Halo, Gears of War and Forza. “There was a time when we didn’t have a lot of first-party franchises,” Spencer says, “and now we do. It’s not just four games that we’re kind of alternating every year. And if one of them doesn’t hit, then we’re not like, ‘Boy, what are we doing?’”

For that reason, exclusivity has been the elephant in the room ever since the buyout. It’s been confirmed that next year’s Starfield, arguably the biggest game of 2022, will be Xbox and PC only. Spencer says he sees the same for The Elder Scrolls VI. In his eyes, Xbox is the whole experience. Xbox Live. Game Pass. Cloud Gaming. Friends lists. Save states. “It’s not about punishing any other platform, like I fundamentally believe all of the platforms can continue to grow,” he says. “But in order to be on Xbox, I want us to be able to bring the full complete package of what we have. And that would be true when I think about Elder Scrolls VI."

Call of Duty Vanguard currently has some performance issues. On the Xbox Series consoles the frame rate can briefly drop below 20fps when passing certain points on the map. On PS5 there can occasionally be very large frame time spikes that can occur.

There is also a bug where starting the game in the 120fps mode causes noticeably degraded performance in this mode (Edit: The footage starting at 13:25 shows this degraded performance). This bug can be fixed by turning the 120fps mode off and then back on again while in-game.

The severity of the frame time spikes that happen on Xbox at 4 minutes and 18 seconds varies and sometimes the Xbox Series S can spike worse than shown in the video.

PS5 and Xbox Series X in the 60fps mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 3840x2160 and the lowest resolution found being 1920x2160. PS5 and Xbox Series X in the 60fps mode seem to often render at 3840x2160. On PS5 and Xbox Series X in the 60fps mode a form of temporal upsampling is used that can reconstruct a 3840x2160 resolution when rendering below this resolution.

Xbox Series S in the 60fps mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 2560x1440 and the lowest resolution found being 1280x1440. On Xbox Series S in the 60fps mode a form of temporal upsampling is used that can reconstruct a 2560x1440 resolution when rendering below this resolution. Xbox Series S in the 120fps mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1920x1080 and the lowest resolution found being 960x1080. On Xbox Series S in the 120fps mode a form of temporal upsampling is used that can reconstruct a 1920x1080 resolution when rendering below this resolution.

PS5 and Xbox Series X in the 120fps mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being approximately 2730x1536 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 1365x1536. On PS5 and Xbox Series X in the 120fps mode a form of temporal upsampling is used that can reconstruct a 2730x1536 resolution when rendering below this resolution. All three consoles in all modes all appear to be using a form of Variable Rate Shading. The temporal upsampling used also seems to reconstruct the parts of the frame with a reduced shading rate from VRS.

My coworker is pissed, that they’ve flgitta go out and try and find one now. I told him to wait fit the refresh :);)
My son constantly bashed Xbox.
When Bethesda got bought.. he was salty.

I as you know got him one.
Fast forward to now.. he's only allowed to take one console at a time to his mothers and he usually chooses XSX lol.

He just said to me... Dad we need to start getting XSX versions(after us playing BF2042 on PS5) of 3rd party games.

That is f***ed up. Starfield was fair game but ES has been a very long running multiplatform series. Just buying the studio and saying Xbox only now is pretty s***ty.

Those who don't care for vs talk, shouldn't enter and surely shouldn't constantly ask for its demise.
You sound like a broken record.
Anyone that is active here has to enter as its by far the most active thread

But the thread isn't the problem its the trolling and counter trolling 24/7. People should be able to compare the systems without making asses out of themselves.

They CHOOSE to enter.
Some don't or at least they never post in here.

I agree but hold the GP.

If I used GP this would be even more true.
Two things that stand out from that article to me:

"slick user interface on PS5"

Ah, no. It's a dumpster fire.

and

"Microsoft seems to value the variety in its catalogue even while its own exclusive library continues to struggle."

That is no longer the case.

Still a chance it is coming to Playstation eventually...

DING DING DING!! We have a winner!

This thread is entirely needed, but how you conduct yourself in here is really a window into the larger forces at work. When it gets too heated in here people need to take a break and if you can't do that us the mods will do it for you.
We can all be fans of different things, but those differences shouldn't divide us but unite us against the greater evil.

That greater evil being mobile gaming.

I agree with the UI part as it's terrible on PS5.

The library part is still a work in progress but should be completely done by the end of 2022 barring no delays.

Never expected ES6 to be on PS5 after the acquisition. I'd just play it on PC but I couldn't get into Skyrim so meh.

Never played an ES game ever still... come at me. 🤣

But I'm glad I have the option to play on PC.

I didn't play one until Oblivion and absolutely loved it. Like 6-7 hour gaming sessions without moving loved it lol. But Skyrim was a snoozer so only put like 10 hours before noping out.

I didn't expect it either, I thought it made financial sense because MS paid so much for Zenimax and their value drops tremendously when you take other platforms off of the table but I figured MS just wouldn't do it. I was mad at first when MS did it, it just seemed like a typical Microsoft move, if they can't compete creatively they just end up buying everyone out but it seems like Zenimax wanted to be acquired and if it wasn't going to be Sony I'm glad it was MS and not Apple, Google or Netflix.

ES6 is still at least 5 years away according to Todd Howard so it's probably not even worth spending much time thinking about right now but if it's being called news that it's an Xbox exclusive wasn't that already confirmed months ago?

Because Sony didn't buy all their studios for the existing talent that those studios had.
