Assassin’s Creed IV: Avast ye lubbers, the Black Flag is officially flown

I really like the way they added the physics to the foliage in the next gen versions, seeing the rain have an effect on the leaves etc just makes it seem so much more believable. Sure the models could use some work but that's what we get with cross gen stuff but the added effects like water running down all of the structures when it rains, the realistic fog, seeing leaves and branches react to the characters when they walk through them, it just makes the world more believable and I'm really looking forward to seeing what other next gen open world games are able to do.

Hope RDR2 comes out next year, or something similar... probably my favorite Open world game this gen.

I've been doing hit-n'-runs with my ship, ramming and sinking everything in sight. lol

This was my only game purchase with my Xbox One so I've been spending a lot of time with this game. I am absolutely loving it! I thought I'd be burned out by the series by the time the Xbox One came out because I had just spent the prior months playing Brotherhood, Revelations and AC:3 to be caught up to get AC:4. But, it feels fresh and I love the improvements in the gameplay. I somewhat enjoyed the ship missions in AC:3 but am loving sailing the ocean in AC:4. I love listening to the pirates singing the shanties (and that makes it worth chasing those buggers down). And the beautiful tropical islands are so nice to look at. I know this is a multiplatform and multigenerational game but just amazed with how great it looks.

Had a funny encounter with a drunk Assassin and the conversation between him and my character had me laughing. Also really enjoying the new lead character, thought I wouldn't at first but really have grown to like him. Have a lot of story to go through but so far very pleased with how things are unfolding.

Yeah this game is like digital crack. I can't put it down. Have my harpooning leveled to the max for whale hunting. Just got the fourth tier broadside and second tier mortar. I'm finally able to engage some of the bigger frigates now.

Man I've had this game since X1 launch and still haven't played it yet. Been to busy with DR3 and Peggle 2, and now I just added Max and Lego Marvel to the list. Ugh I'm already being consumed by a backlog!

Think I've put 5-6hrs into this game in the past few days. Maxed out my armor, bronze mortars, forth tier cannons...almost maxed out my RAM. Took pretty much all the forts in the north.

The swimming parts are the only parts I dont like very much. The dive bell is kinda neat, but I really hate the sharks.

I've about 30 hours in this already and I don't even have the diving bell yet :-) I have all ship upgrades minus some of the elites (ones at the various wrecks. It's just so much fun to sail around robbing ships. Took out a English fleet that made up of 2 Man Of Wars and 3 Frigates. I love my mortar. Going to start a little more on the story when I get back online.

Hey guys, how the heck do you get the governor's outfit? They call it a "social treasure" and I heard on the internet that it's in the mansion. But I don't know how to activate it. Can someone help me?

You can buy the Governors outfit from the shops (and from the statue in the Captain's Cabin). It's one of the most expensive. It's nearly 15k I think.

The "hunter" ships die with one mortar round. The fort with the twisters was annoying. Keeping your wanted level up is pretty much a must in this game.

Really? I always pay off my wanted level. What's the advantage to keeping your wanted level high?

Not really. You can get the politician's outfit that way, but not the governor's.

It's says in the description that it's acquired by obtaining a "social treasure". I read on the internet that it means you have to be connected to PSN or Xbox Live and you find it in a chest in the mansion.

Maybe if I upgrade the mansion all the way, it will appear or something. But someone in the comments said they already did that and it did not appear.

Ah ok. I'm using the legendary pirate outfit mostly although I recently switched to the legendary templar outfit as you take less damage. Is there a buff from the Governor's outfit? Haven't got my base fully upgraded but I'm pretty close to it.

You know, I have no idea. I just wanted to wear it because it looked cool.
