I am happy the game sell well.
I am about 20ish hours in this game & I feel I have experence pretty much what the game wanted to show me & very little things can excite anymore.
I said this a thousand time, most loot games suck at loot, & AC is the norm. Most gears/items loot are stats stick. Most of the skill tree are stick sticks. The runes to sockests are stats stick. And for those that do not know what is a stat stick, it is basically a gear that contain nothing buts stats, like +5 melee damage, +2 range damage.
Don't getme wrong, gpod loot games have stats thats improve ypur characters. They are neccessery for prower progression. Good loot game however balance between gears/add on/skill tree with stats & items that encourage intereresting interaction, synergy, & the way you play. Say a rune that allow a single hand weapon to parry like a shield, or a rune that on a sucessful parry, knock all foes in a 2m radius. Then another weapon rune, where all knocked down enemies take x% fire damage. Then another gear that increase duration of burning, creating interesting synergy.
Also story is super uninteresting. I asked before friends into writing/screenplay. "What is the differences between a story and a series of events?" or another form "What makes a series of events a story?" I posted this questions to everyone here as well. The general answer give is a story must be interesting (or thorught provoking, message) and have a structure (start midle climax end etc).
So far AC story seems like uninteresting series of events.
