Weird thing is the Specialists easily could have been incorporated into the standard classes instead of replacing them
Not really. Not in any meaningful way. It would be like those crappy sub classes they had in BFV.

What is funny is they are called "Specialists" and yet they aren't really that at all.

Its better if they have to exist. If the character with the healing gun is one of your choices when you pick medic the classes still exist and they can get their cosmetic money.

but they can get the cosmetic money without them. They simply are't needed. They destreoyd a cornerstone of the BF experience for no real reason.

But look at their sad cosmetics in BF5. Why would you spend money on that crap.

I agree I am just saying there is no reason why having specialists existing means distinct classes can't too. I understand adding specialists even if I don't want them. I do not understand why they killed off classes. Its baffling.

Because they are ignorant idiots. Why is it so damn hard for Devs to listen to it's fan base. These companies just don't learn.

I don't understand adding specialists. They are pointless. Bad. Unbalanced. And not very Battlefield.

Playing through BF4 and it's impressive the amount of guns and variety of them too, hope 2042 has a decent line up too.
How hard is it to find a game going there? been thinking about buying it again it's only like $5.00 on PSN, I owned it on PS4 but traded the disc in a long time ago.

Well it's a little hard to find Oceania servers, but when I looked at north American servers which I think was off peak time there was about 50 conquest servers, I'd imagine there would be a few more on PS. It can look a little rough but the guns still there.

So, seems very much like COD Fireteam Dirty Bomb which nobody liked. Basically multi-objectives in a hybrid BR. The problem with Dirty Bomb is you just get multiple teams fighting over the same point and while it is chaotic it isn't particularly fun.

In all seriousness, I don't remember anyone in the COD community liking this mode and this sounds very similar.

It sounds like The Division's Dark Zone but with Intel instead of loot.

Also, that Ubisoft 100 player FPS they announced seems very similar too.

They are under-powered as are the aircraft in the game. Unless there is a hardcore mode it makes no difference to me. I'll just spawn where the action is and take my chances on foot. I'll wait a year or more before I get this game if it isn't another dead battlefield game by then.

I always spawn near the action, I've never really been bothered by bigger maps, but I'm happy with tanks and aircraft getting nerfed, especially aircraft, screw them.

Nice that they're fixing a few things, but the whole "I don't know what items this specialist has" thing has to be addressed. If I'm in a battle and I see a medic symbol, I run my ass to the medic no problem. Now I have no idea if this person's a medic or what? I do appreciate that the specialist is getting more notice about people being low on health or ammo, but that doesn't address the other side of it.
